Why do you think valve is under fire from every angle lately? They are winning and winning fairly and some people don't like that.

Playing for the first time currently and I can't put it down. We finally got a good successor to system shock 2 and I am so happy

This is the chance for one underpaid government tech worker to delete the wrong folder in the transfer and erase the debt

Occasionally we get the odd tech update but they consider it basically finished now.

But the tl:dr is

• Bugs fixed
• Optimized
• Gameplay enhanced
• Dlc is amazing

Nah you're right. It's overrated. It shaked the Zelda formula up and that's all that people see in it. It has a ton of fun details in the world sure but let's be honest BOTW has like 8 different enemies you will fight over and over. The shrines aren't even a challenge after the first third of the game since you know the ins and outs of your abilities. Your abilities are all gained right at the start too and there's no cool loot other than another bow or a random melee weapon.

The open world nature kills so much of the story pacing and cinematic elements we have come to expect from the series. Then there's the whole no real dungeons thing. a Zelda dungeon used to be an all day affair. Took you hours with a challenging unique boss fight at the end. The beasts we got and the copy pasted phantom ganons were so lame.

I honestly feel like they serious took a dramatic dip in theming and focus with BOTW. It took a dramatic leap forward in innovation for the series but it really doesn't feel like a legend of Zelda game anymore.

Tears of the kingdom is just The Legend of Zelda Nuts and Bolts. Change my mind

It depends on the implementation. Properly Implemented motion blur can look rather pleasing. Also with new frame generation tech motion blur really helps smooth out the in between frames I've found.

Living with my best friends and my girlfriend. One of my roommates is also my girlfriends ex wife(still actually married for insurance reasons) and her best friend (also a roommate) is also an ex of hers but everyone is on good terms and has each others backs. It's a strange family I have found myself a part of but I love them.

Right? Even though I make garbage for pay my restaurant job is pretty nice. Keeps me active all day, sharpens my wits, relatively simple, and free food to top it all off.

Cyberpunk 2077. It was hated on release but it really has made a comeback after 2.0 was released.

I think cyberpunk really puts so many triple A titles to shame when it comes to the quality of the characters and quests.
