Like it's easier to lose data if something happens before you manually save it. With auto saving that's more difficult as it is auto saving every x time or x changes. Yeah you could do that manually... every x minutes/work but it's something that clearly should be automated.

The main issue here was assuming something has a feature and that it has it enabled without checking if it does.

But... It's under....so it must be an underdog.

Yeah I know that. In any case I said my car as example because I don't go by plane... but yeah it's not exactly the same as my car doesn't have a radio that allows anybody track it.

Well yeah but that is available and public doesn't mean that I would like a guy to shout it all around. I mean... you can also just follow me on the street and you will see where I am going, it's public, that doesn't mean that I will be happy to know you take notes and share it to everybody letting them know where I go every second of my life.

Sure they are public figures and it is what it is, and of course I am against the harassing I wasn't saying that is ok and sure they will live they can deal with it but that doesn't mean that it doesn't annoy them or bother them and that due to that can cause them to react badly to it and overreact, they are human after all like the rest of us.

And honestly I wasn't even talking about security, yeah my example in my case was that but honestly is not just that.

I mean... tbh I wouldn't like somebody to track all my movements with my car and make them public to all to see.

I mean technically they are already tracked in my case at minimum by Google explicitly by me in my case as I share my location and I have tracking enabled, but they don't share directly with all people to see, so Tom that doesn't like me can go and cut my tires. There might be a security flaw some day....and Tom might get access but in my case I will risk it.

To me it means what it says... They had some expectations and they didn't reach it.

At the end I guess is open to interpretation, but expectations sometimes are out of reality... some times they go higher either to sell it to inversors or they simply over estimate...

I wouldn't go as far as reading as them saying it didn't sell well, more like they expected more....

Well actually you got confused as I am not the guy who did say "disk drives", that's somebody else.

In any case I understood you as talking about the non BluRay indicating they are common in builds.

I mentioned BluRays because that's the only one that nowadays could make sense to have and could be common to add to a build, but not even that is being used commonly due to being expensive and basically only used by movies and those are usually played elsewhere.

I honestly don't think most people would bother building a new PC with a normal disk drive, they are completely useless. New games/software/video/music are digital or use BluRays, except music I guess. And any other uses has been replaced with external USB drives or other mediums as those are better in many ways. So unless you have some specific need it's worthless and if you have a need a external USB disk drive is more practical.

Oh I am sure that some exist... but I feel people should stop buying them.

I mean up to certain point.... If the job you don't lose... doesn't provide you enough to live...might as well be unemployed.

I mean... What shitty shaver doesn't work while being plugged.
