  • Yeah, you can use Open source roms.

Why being against freedom? Allowing ROMs and root won't affect you if you don't want to use them.

No need to be unpleasant too.

  • Have you tried to add the game .exe as a non-Steam game, and using proton as a compatibility tool?

  • This guy should be reported and fired, that's really fucked up.

  • They don't have to support it 10 years, but they shouldn't prevent people to keep their phones updated themselves with custom ROMs.

  • True, I just wished Rockstar didn't treat PC gamers like second class citizens.

  • Well it's better but it's still not enough imo.

People shouldn't be left behind on security just because they don't have the latest phone, 4 years isn't long at all.

Now phones are powerful enough to last years, and could last even longer with replaceable batteries. This artificial limitation is anti-customer.

So yeah at least there should be an way to root and install custom ROMs, they may not want to support phones longer officially but they shouldn't limit the user if they want to do it themselves.

  • Yeah, I'm really tired of this.

We should be able to root and install any OS on our phones like we can do on PC.

I don't use root or custom ROMs on my phone anymore but this is something that should always be possible.

  • That's how you succeed, you make a great game, and be pro customer. Not complicated.

  • I won't really call that a win,

Reddit lost the trust of many users, a non insignificant part of contributors and moderators left, the enshittification of the platform is not going to stop but they lost a big part of what made Reddit great. They damaged their image and popularity.

It's like saying Elon won by trashing Twitter. Sure he does what he wants with it but making your platform less desirable sure isn't a win for the platform.

  • Shit looks AI generated lmao, totally unusable shape lmao.

  • Yeah, it is probably not happening soon.

True, with DRM we can't really be owner of the game that's why DRM free game are the best, and at least even with DRM games in some case games can be played offline, they can be cracked too, but with streaming there would be no more piracy, and no more access without internet and a subscription, and modding would be also impossible.

Nice, I have a Steam Deck and it is awesome that we can play that much games on a handheld device.

  • Yeah I would like this too.

  • Honestly I hope that game streaming doesn't become mainstream ever, it could mean the end of traditional game ownership. And I think that input lag will always be a thing even with better network speed.

    What handheld have you got?

  • Phages seems like a good alternative.

  • Since SteamOS 3 it's based on Arch
