Yes, but more so because of my tinitus. It fucking sucks, I can't really focus on reading books because the silence is deafening.

Maybe it's just me but I see a thumbs up as sarcastic more than sincere. Like an "ok buddy, whatever you say".

100megabit is not the minimum, that's about what I'm on and have the fastest internet out of anyone I know, downloading games in a couple hours and stuff.

People can absolutely live with +16megabits, I did at my parents house for years. 100 would be nice, but in no way necessary.

I went back onto Reddit today and like 20 posts in popular had 5k+ comments. I really miss the variety but, we'll get there.

I just miss videos on general, I get it's not realistic for a small business like lemmy to host videos on their servers. But in-app players for links would be great, I miss my dog/cat videos aswell as pussy videos. Imgur for animals, redgifs for porn. Idk maybe throw in TikTok links, even Instagram.

When you disagree with the core concept of life and society/people there's not much that would make life better. I'm done meeting people. Just tryna get through life as fast as possible and retire early then die.

The fact is, you can't become a billionaire without exploiting your workers. And these ancestors that created money did so in exploitive ways too, slaves, colonising, EMERALD MINES, etc.

Genuinely, show me a good billionaires who earned their money and I'll show you 100 who inherited slave money or exploited their workers.

In my experience average pay is just above the peverty line in a given area. Most teachers make shit, especially for what they're doing. And if the starting pay in your area is $30 the CoL is probably very high.

Like yeah, they're not homeless, but most people are barely getting by on the average wage in the area.
