  • Not all of them are like that. They recognize a government is necessary, but when the government gets involved everywhere it starts to become a hassle. People govern themselves in small pockets and I think a lot of republicans like the idea that people will continue to do that. Yes, some of them are bred from hate, but not most.

Also, if they get upset with “government do thing” they cannot possibly be fascist as that necessarily requires a large central governance. I’d argue that putting more policies in place is more fascist and Democrats do much more of that sort of thing.

Now just for personal curiosity, how are they actively endangering your life? Endangering I can agree with, but "actively" I’m curious

  • Capitalism brings disparity, but it seems like more people are happy with the idea that what they earn is theirs. It also seems like less people are impoverished. Are people poor? Yes. Are many people preyed upon by corporations? Yes. Unhinged society? I’d argue not. If you’re talking about the US, I’d say we are quite far from fascist as well

  • Do you use an iOS device? I have an app that works very well and is on the app store, no side loading

  • Not invalidating your experience, but my t7 ran windows for me and it’s done well

  • Explanation so I don’t have to look it up please

  • I use arc on my mac and it’s nowhere near as nice as that, but I like the side tabs, the way it gets out of the way when I’m searching, and bing isn’t too bad; I’ve actually used it a few times. Once I found a customizable start page I haven’t looked back. Again, for work

  • Definitely missed it. It doesn’t grab everything without permission, but probably wants to stay out of the way so you do pull it all in

  • That duckduckgo default is the thing that aggravates me the most. Sometimes those results just don’t cut it but I don’t even have the option to chance my default browser. I had to bookmark google

  • I use edge for work every day, what popups?

  • Is old Roblox going somewhere?

  • Have and eat are both present looking to the future in this insane. Like have it in the future if you eat it now. It does make sense, but I do understand your gripe

  • You can host it, that’s fine. I just want my memes however they happen lol. I’d I just have to buy a domain I’ll do so

  • Neighbors do tend to stick to themselves and socializing here is DIFFICULT. It’s worth it, but it’s hard. Depending on the part if the country your in affects it a lot as well. I met a lot of people when I started going dancing; there was a regular group and the activity itself is social. You could audit a class at a university perhaps. Depending on your age you’ll find a LOT of people willing to study or work together and you can build friendships that way. I would also suggest just going to the neighbors if you’re interested. You could bring some sort of sealed food (in America it tends to be weird to cook for someone when you don’t know them) and invite them to something. It’s hard, but if you ask the people you see regularly to go and do things it’ll work out. If you’re in a club for pickleball then just ask someone if they’d like to play once or twice more a week.

I know I’ve given a little of information, but let me say that a lot of people my age tend to be in your shoes so the whole environment of meeting people is changing. But a lot of them meet people at university. When I meet new people, I usually just chat with them for a few weeks then ask them for help with something and offer to buy them a lunch as payment. Hopefully the lunch goes well and you go from there

  • This is my first time looking into this service, but I would be willing to pay to have the service hosted. Does your link above include a way to get started with running the software you coded?

  • As a mac-first guy I wasn’t aware of mimicked (really bothers me this word is spelled with a ‘k’) functionality on windows. I simply mean that by adding a kext you are, by design, changing the code of the kernel. More of a particulars in speech thing.

  • This happens on Mac as well btw. kexts are kernel extensions
