Banning vices has rarely (if ever?) gone well. Far better to tax and regulate them to at least reduce the harms by making it less affordable/dangerous and mitigate them with revenues that can be used to repair the damage.

Have you been looking at quantised models? You can get pretty good ones at the 20 gig RAM+VRAM level which is very reasonable if you have a gaming PC and are ok with responses not being instant.

Covid is over in the same way the flu was over in 1923, its still there, it'll still kill people every winter but its endemic and there's no getting rid of it and no point upending all society with all the other problems that causes in order to try and bring it down a few percent.

I cant speak for certain about generating art, I'm no artist and my limit of experience there is playing around with stable diffusion, but it feels like its in the same place as LLMs for programming. Its incredibly impressive at first but once you've used it for a bit the flaws become obvious. It will be a very powerful tool for artists to use, just like LLMs are for programming, and will likely significantly decrease the time needed to produce something, but is nowhere near replacing a human entirely.

Its sad that bigots like you cant read the either of the times where I said I dont have sympathy for her and would have no problem with her being put in jail for what she did. Somehow I get the feeling their wouldnt be this same lust for stripping someone of their citizenship of birth if her mum was French.

I don't see any need for sympathy for her, as I said lock her up for however long is appropriate. The problem is the UK trying to dump its problem citizens on other countries and setting a dangerous precedent for stripping away peoples citizenship and potentially leaving them stateless (which is against all sorts of international agreements)

Its not about giving her citizenship, she already had it from birth but had it stripped away under the pretence that she could get Bangladeshi citizenship (which they dispute). This is essentially the UK trying to dump its problems elsewhere and setting the awful precedent that if you have recent ancestors with another nationality you can be stripped of the one you were born with.

By all means punish her, lock her up for 30 years for all I care, but trying to pretend she isn't British and foisting the problem elsewhere is disgusting.

So given that there is no significant party to the left of Labour (LDs arent, the greens are viable in about 3 seats and the nationalists only contest around a 5th of the total seats) you don't want Labour to be beaten, you're just frustrated with Labour's position. I get that, it pisses me off how timid they are being as well. But trying to stir up animosity to the only party that can replace the current incompetent and at times bordering fascist government we currently have is not the way to go.

So who do you want to beat Labour then? You're still dancing round it.

Thats an awful lot of words to avoid the question. If you want Labour to beaten at the next election who do you want to win? Given that the only other party with any chance of forming a majority is the tories I would have to assume you want them to win.

The irony is that this is one of the things that LLMs are really good at. You could run a small local cpu only model and get it to give a far better summary than this bot does.
