I was watching a film set in the Midwest and they're driving between two rural towns but the corn they're driving by in one scene is Marty's long ear sweet corn, and then like two lines later they're driving by Nor'Eastern Hard Grain. Completely pulled me out of the movie those two fields would be miles apart!

I was referring to the engine block and pistons being aluminum. I assume chassis and many of the critical spinning bits are still steel or iron.

It's also mostly a shit post. I'm a machinist and I am surrounded by aluminum in funny forms.

I would like to have a respectful disagreement.

I put forward that while it is understandable to desire the death penalty when serving justice, that the government should not enjoy that power. That it is too often erroneous in it's prosecution of justice, if not occasionally willfully so, to be entrusted with the power to execute any criminal, no matter the crime or preponderance of evidence.

On my last trip I had a full water bottle with me and the lady said I had to throw it away, so I looked her dead in the eye while I chugged the entire bottle and stuffed the bottle in my bag.

Fuckin tell me I can't bring the water through again.

So the city I live in has a few of these and they're some of the best burgers in town, for fairly reasonable prices.

There's a fucking war on here for the best burger and I'm so happy for it. We don't fuck around with burgers.

They're so good and reasonably priced that the first time I saw this meme I was a little confused. Like yeah the aesthetic is kinda lame but that doesn't change the food. Maybe the stools aren't comfortable but like, there are regular tables. Like what's the problem??

My friends, I am so, so, sorry. You don't deserve this. Good burgers aren't hard, they're really not. Just stay home, invest in a griddle. Even if it's just a small one for your stove top, you can make better burgers at home. Make friends with a local butcher, he won't steer you wrong. I don't know what caused that trend but I know the only way to stop it is to stop going.
