In Lithuania it's legal, but they cannot say any words like "let's play" or "best casinos" etc. I don't know specific, but most of casino/betting ads are like these (always with the weird/annoying voice)
Kind of a good thing to have something in between, but the problem for the author - there wouldn't be a lot of consistent users. What if user starts needing VLANs? Or VPN? Or VPN as a client? The user would migrate to other tools.
I will not blame you, since it seems you spent a lot of time on this project.
What does this project actually solve? It seems like you are trying to re-implement ISP's router, just being open source.
From my understanding, it's either user who has no idea how stuff works and will not look into this project, or user knows enough how this stuff works and will use OpenWRT router/rpi or Mikrotik. I don't understand - why would someone pick your project over RPI/OpenWRT/Mikrotik router?
The average user would still try to change DNS settings by editing /etc/relov.conf (which is overwritten and will not survive reboots) or changing settings in Network Manager.
No. The average user would use NetworkManager GUI integrated into DE.
If you are not a gamer - you probably look at this as a privacy nightmare.
If you are regular (and especially a good at FPS genre) gamer who constantly plays popular FPS shooters, you might appreciate this anti-cheat. It is very important that cheaters get a real punishment, where changing IP and account is not enough.
I've heard stories that cheaters in Apex Legends are buying new disks each time they are banned, because easy anti cheat blocklists their hardware by their (serial) IDs.
Also, this post is a bit cringe. Anti-cheat software is needed. And that's exactly what anti-cheat does - analyzes user's PC and user's activity in order to detect cheat software...
Yes, Intel would not make them anymore, but it doesn't mean there would not be no NUC-alike computers on the market. There are loads of them already, so no issues.
