  • UTC is superior. Everywhere sets their local schedule by what they need to like if the sun actually matters to them, and it gets rid of confusion. The real issue is that people have some idea that work should start at 8am or whatever in all areas. Or that 5 o’clock should be happy hour. That’s not helpful in any meaningful way.

  • I believe all only shows the magazines or subs or whatever that have been synced to local. on a large instance, that will be plenty but in a small instance you'll have to sign up and then everyone in the instance will see that sub in all.

  • That's an interesting take. I'm kind of curious what you mean by the split. It seems like it's already split a few times, and I sort of see Lemmy as another split. I think the biggest craziness that will get thrown into the mix is serious amounts of AI content, which I know people are tired of hearing about now, but it's a huge deal. I think people are underestimating its power.

  • I mean, I didn't watch it either, but If you are in a state that isn't purple, maybe you should be registered as a Republican to be part of the primary to pick the best of the worst. My state only has primary by party.

  • If sideloading were legal, it would definitely solve the issue. Apple's main objective is to maintain the security of its devices and the App Store. However, the company's strict policies can be a hindrance to some users who want more control over their devices. Allowing sideloading would permit advanced users to install any applications they want, but it would also increase the risk of security breaches.
