I think when screen recording software (like OBS) request screen recording access, it is an option to create a new virtual screen, in the system dialog when you need to select which window or screen to share. maybe this would help? it could be wasteful with resources, though

It's very weird. maybe I was a bit too harsh in the beginning, but I don't think it was nearly this bad.

For example I bet the insurance companies love to have some driver behaviour data about you, and the big retail likes to know where/what time you are on the move (though they already get it from the dozens of apps on your phone that have access to location data, like Google Maps)

there are ways to clean it out of a phone, but cars are much more closed down, and if I had to guess they are probably even protected against you cleaning it out software-wise by safety regulations

I live neither in china or the usa, but I don't want myself be recorded by either of their appliances that I use. and that naturally also extends to my neighbors and wherever I go.

good luck charging my phone wirelessly! wireless charging is also very wasteful, and it does not support idle charging (powering the phone without wearing the battery), even if the phone otherwise does. doesn't it also take up a significant amount of that precious space inside the phone?

who said slow web apps. EU hosting providers could step in probably, but where is exactly all the data stored currently? even assuming that most orgs do proper, working backups, restoring them and setting up their systems for the new providers would still tame a lot of time
