  • that's a problem too, but the discussion was about interacting with google. fuck them for showing ads down our throats, but at least they don't know who watches the video (when using a proxy like invidious), and so they can't build a profile of you, and they can't bombard you with tailored manipulative ads either, just something possibly totally irrelevant.

  • Expecting government offices to be heavily armed and require going through TSA levels of security. Turns out other countries aren't police states that treat you like a criminal by default.

lots do but not that openly

    edit: strikethrough for wrong quoting

  • and not just through the american archive.org.

but I wpuld say if you can't hold all the driver files yourself, keeping a list of sha256 hashes or better of them could be worth it too, to later verify their authenticity if you find it somewhere. its also easier to search by hash sometimes

  • I just switched from that because it is a disorganized mess. no real account system. no custom language per user. authentication is an afterthought the main page loads without logging in. but the dashboard is less capable true: there is not even a thermostat widget that's anywhere near as what hass has.

wherever I look, hass definitely looks more organized and deliberate. ok, except scripting actions, but that's it.

also, I don't understand what corsican wants to say, so maybe we have different needs.

  • does that mean though that if I connect a PS/2 keyboard or mouse to my relatively modern computer (a "gamer" motherboard made ~6 years ago) 's PS/2 port, that it'll still trigger such an interrupt?
