  • Sinwar was seen as a big impediment to any deal. Usually just he would decide to walk away from talks, as opposed to a whole delegation like the other parties. Anyway, after being imprisoned for 20 years, several of them in solitary, and writing a book glorifying martyrdom, it seems that he was fully committed to the long term struggle against the Jew and removing him may help end this genocide.

  • You don't need to purify to drink it just extract it. It's hard to smoke enough opium to OD (which I guess counts as concentration through evaporation but isn't purified to seperate alkoloids) to death without other drugs but it is pretty easy to over do it with just tea. Like a previous poster said tea extractions will have wildly varying potencies so they can kill even those with tolerance.

  • It doesn't really need to be processed much. Heated plant parts for tea and the sap is ready to smoke after drying. Both of these processes do count as processing but I would not say it counts as "process[ing] the shit out of it. "

  • Tianeptine was common in noot stacks sometime around 2013 (I don't quite remember when I dropped that hobby) and it is weird. A little is good, more is better but it is moreish. I can see why people who are buying these little drinks by the case are ODing and sometimes dying. I'm not saying I think this stuff should be regulated but I think the lack of regulation overall leads people to think that it must be safe because it's at a gas station. THIS IS NOT THE CASE. Phenazepam is one such example from my reckless days.

  • All untimely deaths are sad and a loss of potential. I've never heard of this guy but I do know the band was famous for a while. Going on Spotify I didn't recognize any of the songs though. Either way, balconies are dangerous. If you are young and/or prone to shenanigans or leaning over railings please stay towards the bottom of the building. Don't let the good times get out of hand!

  • I'm adding debian to the drive on a ten plus year old laptop as we speak. It's taking forever because I have to do part of it manually but usually it takes less than an hour and is mostly idiot proof (my current project is on its 3rd week so I am just a special kind of idiot) but a small lightweight distro alongside the windows partition is an easy way to give old hardware new life without migrating data.

  • Is he happy refers to the end of Camus' book The Myth of Sisyphus where he concludes "One must imagine Sisyphus happy." The oft omitted penultimate line gives the meaning Camus was going for. "The struggle itself towards the heights is enough to fill a man's heart. One must imagine Sisyphus happy." So one does not have to make believe Sisyphus to be happy but one must consider him so.

  • As well as the other good answers you've received here is also the fact that they are in power currently. If dems were out of power outside groups would be publishing policy books and papers to influence the direction going forward in the coming retool. They probably are now. But as has been said the dems have an actual platform to attack so only policy wonks and fever swamp dwellers read and attack the papers coming out of democratic leaning institutions right now.

  • That's really nuts to me when I run into it in the wild. It's so easy and such a qol upgrade. I know a guy who self hosts a bunch of services, programming job, but does not use any ad block at all. He's on the computer all day. Just looking at ads.

  • To give some perspective on this, I've lived for the last three months in a camper with a DC fridge. 1350 watt battery. The rtg at 110w/hr would keep my battery charged. 50 watt tv, 72 watt fridge, 24 watt starlink plus lights and waterpump. It would be just enough for me to live on I'd say.
