  • Not OP, but if you look at the Hello World code example, the “HelloWorld” class is visually divided at the l’s and the o and W are glued together. Looks more like “Hel l oWorld”.

  • Lovely! I am considering buying one for a while now. I think I’ll wait for the first end user reviews, but given that there is a whole Linux desktop behind it, it might double as a PC for school for my kids.

  • There was a meme in Germany during Chancellor Merkel's time in office. As soon as Merkel "expressed her utmost confidence" in someone, that person resigned shortly afterwards.

  • I recently read about https://murena.com/ which is a degoogled OS. Might be not enough for your needs, but others might find it useful.

  • Hotaru is firefly in English and this reminds me of one.

  • So you want to backup or do you want to file share/work together on documents?

For backup I use Spideroak for all our families computers. It did a solid job over the last four Linux laptops and MacBooks I used. I only backup the home directory and the external drive with my Photo Library.

For Cloud Storage I use OneDrive. I don’t have much to share, so this is normally enough.

  • Halfling Paladine

  • Are you aware, that 360 is a full circle? Opposite would be 180.

  • Tax and social security is US government too. These are basic dates, that every employer needs. In Germany the data your employer needs is:

    • medical insurance company
    • birthdates of your children
    • marriage status
    • your birthdate
    • social security number
    • tax id
  • So. Much. Pop culture. I don’t know what is more frightening: that someone pierced it all together or that I know quite a lot of those characters.

There are even old ninja turtle villains.

  • I maybe did not understand 95% of this, but it is cool to see people understanding the math behind computing.

  • You might be right. As the article says the employment rate stayed the same.

  • It is called a programming language. I guess repeating some sentences or even the idea for a story is normal when you write a book or code a program.

  • Ok. KSP and its 5 SPF gameplay did lower my expectations to modern games, apparently. Looks like I run BG3 around 15 to 25 FPS 🙃 . This is on the internal display. I didn't test the external one.

  • Be aware that a fast change in character could be a sign for a starting mental illness or a physical one affecting the brain.

If you feel, you are no longer able to reach your friend, talk to a professional how you could support your friend. And discussing based on logic and common sense might not be the way to help.

  • 2000somethingx1600 is on the internal Display of that MacBook Air and it might be that my expectations to graphics FPS wise are not very high. Normally I play Civilisation or Kerbal Space Program and one of my most loved games is Master of Orion 1 on a whooping 640x480 pixels. I’ll check later, what FPS I get.

  • Baldurs Gate 3 was released on Friday on Mac. I played the preview and some hours on parallels and am glad now I can play natively now.

My problem is, this world is to big. I like role playing my character, even if it is not optimal. I read every dialogue and think: “what would Hsslek (my Githyanki Dragonborn Wizard) do?”

The great thing is, after around 50 hours I now have a picture of my character. A curious mind, not always fitting into Githyanki society, but counting on the Githyanki Warrior who shares his fate and is becoming his lover.
