In this thread: people not understanding sampling bias. Of course everyone here likes privacy, and had friends who think similarly. It's a privacy themed community on a niche tech forum.

True, but I blame the track for that one. Pirelli did the research and averted a pretty scary alternative to that race, where the kerbs ripped the rubber from the hubs at high speed.

I think the message is "we know enough about tyres that we can make them behave exactly how the customer need them to", regardless of how sensible those demands actually are.

I can imagine lots of things.

So this sounds more like a supply and demand problem. The concept of renting itself isn't the issue.

So when I went away to university for 3 years, of which I spent 2 months each summer back with my parents, I should have bought a house while I was there, and then sold it once I was done with my studies?

Or is renting sometimes a useful and convenient system?
