  • One might be tempted to explain the disparity as a natural consequence of women living longer. But those studying the disease say that wouldn’t account for such a large difference, and they’re not precisely sure what would.

Any competent statistical/scientific study will account for obvious population disparities.

  • "The solution to pollution is dilution" is capitalist propaganda to avoid paying for their externalities.

We live in an enclosed biosphere, and have been polluting it — poisoning it — well beyond what is sustainable for well over a century, and are continuing to peak ecocide every year, with no reduction in sight.

So yeah, we have microplastics in our balls and brains, are breathing air, drinking water, and eating food, with an ever increasing number of synthetic chemical compounds that are literally poisonous. What the fuck we think was gonna happen? Eternal youth?

  • It's probably more related to how the hardware stores the software; the strength of a memory depends on the strength (complexity) in the interconnectivity of neurons related to that memory. The more some piece of information relates to other information, the physically stronger the connection of neurons that make up that information become.

Prior to 3ish our brains are focused on the foundations needed to form complex thought and memories; sensory perception, coordination, time, language, etc. Once we reach a certain level of skill with those foundations we probably hit a threshold where new pathways are strong/complex/interconnected enough to last, and be continually reinforced or built upon, for a lifetime, to the extend they are unlikely to ever deteriorate without some TBI or neurodegenerative disease.

    NOTE: not a doctor.

  • My washing machine has wifi and an app. I bought it because I read the manual and all networking is disabled by default.

Otherwise, for all appliances, get ones with the longest warranty, unless there is a significant difference in price.

  • Whoever commands the killbots will genocide the 99% and rule humanity, forevermore... until whenever general AI is achieved and the remaining humans are eliminated; they will have proven they can't be trusted.

  • That's called a precision strike when committing genocide.

Under international law based on the Geneva conventions, a military force is forbidden to launch attacks that cause “incidental loss of civilian life” that is “excessive or disproportionate” to the military advantage to be gained.

So all of Israel's actions since October 7 are a war crime... or does leveling a city of 2.3 million and killing tens of thousands of civilians, to rescue 100 hostages, sound "proportionate"?

  • Don't forget covering their tracks in stealing the election.

Law enforcement, regulators, and auditors won't investigate their crimes when their ranks are purged and replaced with loyalists and criminals.
