  • Yeah I am liking lemmy but smaller communities definitely suffer here. My small communities never show up in my subscribed feed, doesn't matter the sort type.

I know people say there "isn't an algorithm" (there is), but maybe it should be made in a way that elevated some smaller communities instead of just being !memes for 90% of posts.

  • Want to elaborate on your answer instead of being snarky? It was a genuine question if your user experience changed or if it was a behind the scene thing you don't agree with? It's probably obvious I just use the app and don't look into everything behind the scenes on it.

Reddit isn't the only one hosting such folks who think they're superior to others.

  • I've been using it and I haven't seen a single ad and it seems fine? I feel like there isn't an in-between of hating it and loving it more than life itself.

Are ads just not working yet or something? I don't see a reason to even pay unless you want to support him, which is totally fine to do.

  • I love your name. And also yeah I just got Niagara yesterday after being on Nova premium for like 9 years. Really digging it so far and I think they're gonna trick me into buying premium probably. They offer a free week trial so I'll get used to it, then do the premium and see if it makes it that much better.

Do you have premium and would you recommend it?

  • After having one, it's really amazing and the form factor and random utility it brings (built in tripod, easy to aim flash light and be hands free). The screens just need work. The crease is a non-issue as far as using the phone, but the little screen protectors that manufacturers say not to take off will deteriorate after like 6 months.

I think it's close though and I do often miss my foldable.
