I'm stuck with it because of work. Luckily, "Industry 4.0" is completely fucking fed up with M$ and they're abandoning Windows in droves. I'm just waiting for my vendor to finish polishing their MacOS and Linux alternatives.

Them taking control away from me makes me not use them. Not a problem at all.

I think he may be worried that all of the money he stole will be uncovered if he continues to have the spotlight pointed at him.

Also - if you want to buy something on the internet, use a credit card from a real bank. They'll refund you for scams.

But go ahead and complain when you get scammed while using a currency designed to be hard to track.

As a software developer, I still struggle with windows fuckery. I have to manage about a dozen machines, each of which has different tasks, and sometimes they decide to just up and reboot for the mandatory update. While I am out of state.

Uhg. I spent time yesterday writing a windows service to perpetually send a WoL magic packet to those computers just to avoid this situation again. They may never shut off again.

I haven't ever tried to root an android device and Linuxify it before. Now I am curious. I use Linux at work but I am no greybeard and that task sounds like something suited for someone with a little more crust than myself.

Honestly that is what makes the most sense to me. They are known as the slow adopter of technology. So they're just playing the long game by waiting to jump into the BEV world head first once they let the market shake out the first few hurdles. Plus it lets them wait on purchasing Lithium, which is currently in a huge bubble. So from the c-suite, it makes perfect sense to play coy with BEVs right now.

I believe Tesla retained patents on their automatic payment system. So other cars can use the NACS, but they have to use a shitty app (which is currently a MAJOR problem with BEV chargers) because none of them have figured out how to install a credit card terminal on the dang things.

Honestly if you want it to be portable, you're going to have to use a RISC processor. The x86 processors are just so energy inefficient for most instructions that the battery is drained too quickly and it requires a much bigger battery to compensate.

This is a prime use case for quality open source software.

Thank god my PC doesn't have a TPM.

Probably because Americans were raised on a super meat heavy diet. Meat burgers. Meat casseroles. Meat sauces. Meat everything. Fake meats make those recipes achievable for vegetarians and vegans who long for mom's home cooking.
