  • I do about half and half remote, and i do work differently in office than when at home.

In office, i handle physical elements of the job, and also end up being interrupted far more often by user requests.

When I'm at home, I'm able to get into a groove programming, and am still about 90% as effective remotely handling user requests.

For me the mix is good, and when it comes to long term goals, my home time is far more productive.

Today for example the system I'm working on was scheduled for in office, but I decided to work from home. Turns out, facilities removed all the furniture from the room so I'd have been sitting on the floor or working on it remotely anyway.

  • The first time I played it, I did about an hour to get my feet wet, ha ha, but then switched to hardcore mode. It took a long time, but I did finish the game in a single life. Subnautica without a real fear of death just isnt the same.

Playing through again as a vegan, and recording it to make a tips video. If you haven't played it without catching a fish I highly recommend it. Only thing you miss out on is the air bladder, but not getting distracted all the time chasing fish really changes the way I explore the game.

Another fun challenge is never making a compass or becans, forces you to learn the map.

  • For me it's the fact that it took me YEARS to git gud. Bought Demons souls before the hype, and had no clue. After a couple trys it went on the shelf. Went on to buy every souls game, cause I knew they were amazing, but never finished one or even got half way.

It was watching walk throughs, speed runs, and various challenge runs on youtube that, along with hours and hours of grinding, got me comfortable with these games.

Playing DS1 with fresh eyes and my current skills and knowledge of the other games would be amazing, as it really has the best world.

Having said all that, my answer is the Mass Effect trilogy.

  • I think you are missing the important part here. The school now has a football, baseball, and that other kind of football, team. It doesn't actually have facilities or fields for any of these activities, but what matters is that now they can give scholarships for students in these vital academic pursuits.

  • They really hammered this home in basic. I remember being really suprised by it, having thought as an airman basic I had to do anything I was ordered without question.

Now, the truth is, for your everyday enlisted person, the chances of being given an actually illegal order is basically 0.

Still, it was nice to know that there are mechanisms is place to protect me if I was told to do something truly horrible.

  • That unfortunately is going to be app dependent as far as I know. Your phone can set if a given app will alert you, but for example facebook would have to filter which friend's notifications get sent.

An app that let you manage notifications by user across multiple platforms would be amazing.

"I don't want to hear from Jay today" would be an awesome checkbox.

  • I would be a good dictator. I don't crave fame, fortune, or control. I like to live a quite life, have general good will for people and am kind.

I have a very technical background, a decent understanding of, and more importantly a high respect for, science. My number one skill is probably troubleshooting complex systems.

I'm am secure enough in my knowledge and abilities that I have no problem admitting when I'm wrong, and enjoy and am not threatened by other people being right so I can learn something new.

I make a terrible manager, so I'd have to delegate the vast majority of the actual work to competent people.

Mostly I just want everyone treated fair and equal, to have access to basic needs, and the ability to better themselves.

I absolutely don't want the job, nor do I think anyone should have it, but yeah, I think I'd make a good dictator.

  • In a documentary made during the 2016 election cycle Trump talks about how much better his PR team is because he doesn't have to use traditional channels to reach his base, he can just tweet it when ever he wants to tell the world something.

He was very much using twitter as a primary communication channel from the begining, and this time around, he has both twitter and truth social as his basically his own.

  • This sounds about right. I have an emotional response to something, feel I have something to add, and start banging out a wall of text.

Then I reread it for errors before I post and just think "nobody needs to see this" and delete it.

  • I bought it at launch, and on PS4 it was actually an unplayable mess.

I've since gotten a PS4 pro, and still haven't loaded it up again.

Pretty sure I'll get a PS5 this year, so I'm thinking of waiting till the to play it.

With large games like this, I know I'm going to sink a lot of time into my first lay through, figure why not wait until I can do it right.
