Well in a recent poll that Proton held in Reddit I think, Linux users were the first requesting an app.

+1 on that. They're still struggling to make a good app for VPN on Linux while every other provider has sovlrd this ages ago. But overall a good service.

Currently I would say the fear of unemployment. Getting a good paying job is difficult day by day.

Always the best option is to run your own instance. Then you can choose you to federate with or not. In a big instance it's not easy to force your opinion to others who might not want to defederate.

I think it depends on the usage actually. Will there be lots of read and writes? SSDs are quite reliable nowadays.

Just block the user (s). I'm not in favour of defederation in general.
