I appreciate your concern, but no worries. The company code is structured text as I program B&R PLCs and ChatGPT is pretty useless (so far) for that kind of code. The python code I paste in is more for personal hobbies.

At work when I write certain emails or code snippets I'll paste them into ChatGPT and ask it to make the email sound "more professional" or "optimize this code." ChatGPT also talks to me like SHODAN from System Shock 😆

Just checked on the FCC Broadband Map, and I saw options for AT&T (symmetrical gigabit), Spectrum (1000, 35 wtf), HughesNet (25,3), Starlink (50,10), Verizon (300,10) and I think T-Mobile even though they weren't listed.

It's a tough call between Fight Club and the Matrix. But id have to give it to the Matrix. That was groundbreaking and it still holds up.

I'll jump on the specs bandwagon. I really can't complain much about Spectrum or AT&T. I currently have symmetrical gigabit with no cap for $80 a month. I just signed up for "straight forward pricing" which is supposed to lock in my rate for as long as I have it.

I remember when Valve first announced SteamOS in 2013. It made me start to tinker with Linux. I ended up setting up and breaking (so much breaking) an OMV install on my old gaming PC turned NAS.

Something that works fairly well for me:

• Make a copy of the file you're working sudo copy /etc/fstab /etc/fstab.bak
• Ask a particular question to ChatGPT How do I mount a samba share in Ubuntu Server 22.04?
• Read through the commands and try them out. ChatGPT is great for stuff like this, especially with follow-up questions, and giving you detailed info on error messages.
• If you fubar, then simply restore your backup file and try again.

Same here! These days I have less time for tinkering and enjoy everything behind the Unifi "pane of glass".

I ran DD-WRT and Asus-MerlinWRT for a long time before hopping on the unifi train. They worked a treat and extended the lives of the hardware.
