But collectively nine women can have a baby in one month.
Kroger app gives me the aisle and then puts a little pin on the store map that shows where it is within the aisle. Lowe’s and Home Depot usually gives me the aisle number and a bin number within the aisle. I don’t good to these places enough to remember where things are, it’s the only reason I got their apps though, it saves me a lot of time when I do go to get something.
I have adaptive cruise in my minivan. I have six eight hour drives I have to make every year right now so the kids can spend time with their mom in another state. The difference making that trip before and after adaptive cruise is frankly unbelievable. In the past I would get home mid afternoon and take a nap. Now I stop at the grocery store, do chores around the house, or whatever else and just get to bed at a normal time.
I sent someone a screenshot and they asked what wefwef was because it showed the name in the top left of the screen shot as like a ‘go back to your last app’ link. Turned into a short painful discussion that I was happy to be over. Sometimes I think people are purposefully obtuse though and it reminded me why I don’t talk about technology with most everybody I know IRL.
I’m going to add frigate to this one. Going with frigate for my home camera solution brought me to Home Assistant.
In his Substack newsletter, Snyder encourages people to start organizing now (2024) in order to win both local and national elections.[15] He notes that On Tyranny was written in a defensive mode and that if its lessons are learned and implemented now things could get much better in 2025 for those who want to maintain democracy and the rule of law in the United States.[15] Snyder has noted that while Trump did not succeed in overturning the 2020 election, it was practice for a successful coup and his supporters will be better prepared for 2024.[16] He also notes that in 2020 important individuals and institutions were aware Trump might not want to peacefully transfer power if he lost the elections and that they prepared to make sure lawful transfer did occur.[16]
If progressives were as united as the bigots the ratchet could turn the other way but it won’t because their are so many voters that are too busy cutting off their nose to spite their face while hiding behind false bravado that doesn’t accomplish anything.
❤️ I think I would cry if someone ever presented something like this to me, I don’t know if I could bring myself to eat it. Thank you for sharing and responding so kindly to a complete stranger in awe at your art. Those close to you are fortunate in so many ways most will never know. All the thought, preparation, practice, effort, self recognition, grounded personality. You are unreal, this thread has been in my mind since I initially saw it and you helped me find my words, thank you for that. I wish you nothing more in life than you present to it, only because more doesn’t exist.
I’m a project manager for a team of IT systems, engineering, and infrastructure folks with just over twenty folks and my key purpose on earth is that I take one hour or less of their time once a week and by doing so they never have an email or conversation with anyone else outside of our team. I know enough to talk to any stakeholders and complete monthly status reports by simply knowing what is going on and communicating strategy to them. I’ve been praised heavily which feels very dirty being an individual contributor for so long in my career. I can speak the same language as everyone on my team spanning logistics, networking, systems, and software development but I don’t DO anything. I have major imposter syndrome as I near retirement so the praise is also appreciated greatly from them. It’s a really weird period in my career.
What the hell…. I want to tell you how awesome this is but I don’t know how. Seriously, no words, sorry.
Can anyone explain what’s going on in the picture for me?

I really wanted to like the steam deck. I’ve had one for nearly a year now and I’ve yet to find a use for it. It’s been unplugged and probably dead on my tv stand for at least six months now.
The last clothing I purchased was two packs of white socks and some boxer briefs this past year. Outside of that all my clothing is a decade or more old. I’m in my mid forties and still have three shirts from when I was in high school that I wear occasionally.
I currently need to get some new undershirts and will need more dress socks in the next year or two but for outer wear I have four pairs of Levi’s, six slacks, twelve button up shirts, three belts, three blazers, four pairs of dress shoes, two pairs of sneakers, and I think seven ties that are all 10-20+ years old and showing no wear. I can’t imagine a reason I would need to buy clothes ever again except for boxer briefs, socks, and under shirts and my last purchase of those lasted for just at 10 years with the first replacements being the new socks I bought.
Oh, I misread that and left you a novel lol, my apologies.
I honestly feel like six hours of work in twelve hours is pretty good. I usually have about two hours of work a day. Rarely it will be a long grind stay on late to get things done day. It’s partially my own fault though since I could spread it out multiple days but it’s nice just logging in and fucking off the whole day since I finished my part the day before. I got a really good job where I’m not punished for getting things done early though. Once every month or two I’ll have a busy day like that and I have no issue joining a teams meeting with my boss the next day on my work computer to run through stuff with him while one of my personal computer monitors I’m playing a game on is plainly in view of the camera (L shaped desk). He knows he can count on me, I bust my ass when I need to, I’m generally available whenever, and if I tell him something is bullshit busy work he listens and runs interference when he can and when he can’t he sighs and says he knows and couldn’t stop it this time. I got pissed after spending 12 years at the same grind and it took me five different employers over the past six years to find a really great place to work. I’d follow my current boss anywhere he went and I’m fairly certain most of my 21 reports would feel the same about me. Their previous boss was apparently up their ass constantly. When I started I told them I don’t care what they do day to day as long as the work gets done and just add themselves to the calendar if they won’t be available at any point that day to reply to email or messages otherwise we’re all adults and I don’t care to babysit anyone just as much as I don’t care to be babysat. I also told them they aren’t required to work anything unless it comes through me. Apparently the teams productivity is through the roof compared to when I started almost two years ago but overall it’s very chill and folks seem happy.
We still use slave labor, California just voted against abolishing it.
I get the sentiment but this guy is really naive for someone that’s been around so long:
Glenn Schneider, the former Walmart maintenance worker who also serves as a Pana alderman, says he’ll be pushing to help revitalize downtown. And he has a suggestion for Walmart when it comes to making decisions for other places: “Talk to the community, get their input, not just in the boardroom,” he said. “If they’ve got a store that’s losing money, well they need to figure out what they can do, what the community can do.”
Tortured how?
