  • You need to drink your way to weight gain.

Try 4 meals a day if you can but get some big calorie drinks in you.

Stop looking at the weight in the gym and start looking at the weight on the scales.

But I'm (athletic) skinny and punched out of my weight loads. How? I don't fucking know. Think girls are just really comfortable around me and for some that works, usually the cute quiet ones. Or sometimes I been blackout drunk and magic happens.

Edit: Just get really drunk and lower your standards. I've done that too.

  • Brought law and order to the world. Education. Infrastructure. Destroyed the slave trade. Brought stability and prevented genocides. Created governments. The industrial revolution. Science. Large parts of economics and free trade.

  • Sounds like you hate lack of knobs rather than induction. Just get one with knobs.

Induction works when you spill water on it, I've done it.

Instant heat. Excellent all over heat transfer. Doesn't heat the room. No cancer causing pollution. Good for the environment. Specific heat control where you can set power and even temperature. Easy to clean.

  • It's even so that the word heat pump only is used for the air-water units, not the air-air ones, those are called airconditioners.

The names and tech all overlap and it gets messy. But you can certainly buy an ac unit that doesn't heat. Hence why I specified heat pump, it is a heat pump.

  • I personally think it was cause a revolution in mobility and cities in general. Far bigger than what most see.

Long term I see car ownership dropping massively and self driving cars working somewhere between taxis and buses linking with rail. With the option of paying more for a personal vehicle or van when required.

The land usage taken up by personal vehicles is horrific and, while not perfect, self driving cars seem the most reasonable step to a big drop in emission and increase in density and public parks and such.

  • Oh yea. I've been in houses (outside the UK). Had heat pump water tank and an air to air heating (and ac) system for the house.

I've always wondered if you could have an air to water system that fills the tank for the taps and then heats the radiators. But also have supplementary heating air to air. Maybe a big one downstairs in the hallway or in the main room of the house.

But with the UK it always comes back to having the worst insulation in the world. Fix that and we wouldn't even be discussing heating systems.

  • "Last week, Waymo announced that its robotaxis have eclipsed more than 100,000 weekly paid rides, with San Francisco recording the “greatest increase in trips this summer” and the most out of Waymo’s three markets."

Things have been moving so slow in this industry. But I'm getting more and more hopeful that huge growth is on the horizon.

  • Air to air heat pumps are amazing. I'm completely converted, they are fair superior to gas.

But why the UK is pushing do hard for air to water is a mystery to me. Seems like betting on old inferior technology.

Also I don't get why they aren't pushing for a induction also conversion and disconnecting the gas line to the house entirely. Induction is magic, that is a way superior technology to gas cooking.

  • It's bad enough the American's are too stupid to use the proper one that we have to have two.

But people talking incorrectly is not a reason to write like that. Unless it's a character speaking or whatever.

  • That's a terrible idea.

Are we meant to be taxing excel and automated telephone exchanges, what about the printing press or solar panels?

All those have lower running costs than industries they replaced that had more workers.

  • I dream of a future with really good social security nets, great climate policy, cheap housing, high taxes on the rich, and more proportional representation.

But the main issue right now is immigration. If the far right is the only one to solve that. Then people in Europe feel their hands are tied. The left is so god damn stupid.

Left wing video "There are no issues with immigration"

In the news "IS claims responsibility for knife attack"

Then goes onto what the right really mean based on his views alone.

It's not all about money. It's not about businesses getting rich and house prices going up.

The left lie and change the narrative this issue isn't "immigration under any situation" as the left try to make out it is the "immigration as is"

No one in Europe is arguing about Swedes or Germans moving into their country. No one has issues with second or third generation Australian gangs.

Immigration when done well is good. But the biggest issue in Europe is immigration both legal and illegal.
