That's how I used reddit. But kbin is still too inactive for that still (for the communities I primarily engaged with). At least I get a few dozen threads in a day now instead of a couple of thread in a day on my sub list like I did a few weeks ago (mostly from more activity, but also subscribed to some more communities). Hope it'll get to the point where I rarely use all soon though.

Could just be a best practice type thing. If even like 20% of people strongly believed in such, that would probably be enough to make the communities formed on a relevant instance become the dominant/main community. Would be up to communities to decide how the want to divide things via organic processes.

Exactly, this is why things like stack overflow never came into existence.

Some people (some aces, aros, or aroaces) don't really understand how others play that game though and treat the game very differently without realizing it.

I think federation is still wonky and has delays in it. Was having a similar issue with another community.

m/altersex does exist. But since its new and doesn't have much activity, so it doesn't have the backlog of stuff yet. But you could always be one of the people who help give it activity.

There's no way GDPR can tell we hosts they are responsible for other platform's copy of data, right? Wouldn't that mean Twitter has to remove tweets from every news article that makes copies, for example, if someone deleted their account under that right?

Do you think sex didn't exist before 1912? It seems like you are confusing sex with the rough approximation of the shape of a chromosome and oversimplifying how those chromosomes relates to phenotype.

Trans people change their sex, not their gender. Trans men are men before they start taking T and trans women are women before they start taking E. What changes is their sex. Personally, I hope we see transgender replaced with something soon. Transsexual is fine as a subcategory of transgender people (or a category with lots of overlap with transgender people).

Social constructs don't all originate in the same way. If you want an example more like sex, you can look at the social construct of race. Race is not skin color, but the social construct is related to things like skin color. Just because race is a social construct doesn't mean skin color came after race.

Money is a social construct. That doesn't mean coins and dollar bills don't exist. Sex is made up by society. Genitals are a physical thing. But they're not the same thing. Just like coins and money are not the same thing.

More people buying used bikes to ride in the new lanes and fewer people selling used bikes (that weren't stolen) presumably.

Genitals aren't sex though. They are part of what society uses to create the category of sex. But sex is no more real than gender or race.
