  • Horses were never "employed". They are essentially cattle. It's not like they like to be ridden, it's actually physically bad for them. Also sitting on the back of a flight animal is just perpetual torture. But that's besides the point.

The industry changes to something different, so the people can find jobs somewhere else.

  • Hm, I thought I saw it in the desktop app, too, but apparently it's managed differently over there. You click on "find more search engines" which leads to the add-on store (version 119). On mobile it's different.

  • Something like a verified work mail or a cryptographic certificate protected with a password, confirming your identity, I don't really know ^^ but phone numbers are old and are getting more and more expensive, as the article lays out

  • Probably. Just saying it's not "the only option". And I'm also pretty sure they could figure out another way to ID people, if they had enough funds to do so. But maybe this still wouldn't be adopted, who knows.

  • Hm alright, I only know of "spaces" on Firefox (also colour coded, but I don't think you can collapse them), very useful if you have multiple accounts for Google lets say, but in different contexts (like work or private), you can use that so you don't have to log in every time.

    Also thanks for the explanation:)

  • How does that have anything to do with Linux? It's about phone verification as the supposed only option.

Does Microsoft need your phone to validate your existence?

How does anyone think, that there are no alternatives?
