Yeah. And the lack of a decent option off device. I was trying to check if a first party game was on sale on the Mar 10 day sales and it a nightmare from my phone. If there is a way to just look at “Nintendo” games I could not find it.
I wonder what the “business reason” is beyond just making more money. Could they be hoping to make up lost revenue in America by raising prices elsewhere? Seems daft.
Honestly they should have never been yearly releases. Of course everyone is burnt out on them, and nothing innovate has happened in the rally codemaster games in years. I’m sad this is happening but it’s definitely mismanagement.
I’m not familiar with Nodm. All my wife is looking for is weather and her work calendar so I was following a guide from YouTube/a guys blog similar to your set up just opening chromium in kiosk mode.
“Fun” I’ve ran into two super frustrating issues that I can’t solve in the last couple days. Yes if I daily drove Linux maybe I’d be better at solving them but I’m just not having fun.
I was trying to use a raspberry Pi and a small screen to make a daily planner for my wife. I can not get the .desktop file to open the browser on boot no matter what I try. I’m starting to think the internet made up this process.
The other device I was messing with recently was my steam deck, installing a non steam game is just upsettingly challenging sometimes. Lutris isn’t as plug and play as folks say. I ended up finding support on discord from a step missing in the Lutris instructions. I spent like all my free time Monday night installing something. Maybe tonight I’ll find out if it will even work. (Although that is a more promising outlook)
Like I want to like Linux but this is just frustrating.
Yeah I definitely remember oblivion gates being a drag, but I only ever did the main campaign on one character so I never bothered with them on subsequent plays. Anyone know if the new version modifies the gates at all?
I mean we will never know but 5billion is a lot no one else is going to throw this much to VR. Gaben will buy another Yacht before valve spends this much. Apple will never care about gaming. Microsoft and google both develop as though they can’t focus on any project.
Sony has a nice headset, but it’s more of a whatever than a serious evolution of the industry.
Itch.io hosts some amazing game jams, and maybe we will see Godot and Unreal take up some slack but not five billion dollars worth.
I know people don’t like Zuck and meta in general. But flooding VR with money was a good thing for the medium. Lots of small teams and independents who otherwise couldn’t have developed for VR got to.
Lemmy lately has been on an outrage fest it’s getting kind of exhausting. Topics in just about everything I follow are almost all outrage with out critical thinking.
Don’t feel bad for liking things. Your post kinda bums me out. Don’t let all this negative hype impact what will make you happy. If you can afford it. Do it. If you can’t then yeah don’t, but we as people are allowed to enjoy things.
Now that was funny. I don’t know why this absolutely had me laughing pretty much from the moral compass line on. I don’t get all the hype for silk song I haven’t tried hollow knight but the way it was glossed over was funny and I haven’t seen anyone else bring that up.
Honestly after what they’ve done I’m going to call into question person hood.
