  • It still has some rough edges, even after the major updates. I liked the Panam ending a lot, arguably one of my favorite game endings ever, but the police spawn and logic is still terrible compared to the likes of older GTA games, and the cars still feel gross to drive. Just Cause 2 had better vehicle handling, and that's a title from 2010.

  • I want more cel-shaded games. And more engines mean more unique experiences. I hate when every game starts to handle the same way.

  • It's a great game, but I dunno how well it will work on phones. The UI is gonna have to be really reworked. I found it a bit clunky even on desktop. The story is fantastic, though. :)

  • DOOM 16 was fantastic, but eternal felt gross. It was a huge step back from 2016, and didn't feel fun. I'm not bothering with the newer games since they essentially are going off gimmicks.

  • A typical enemy of the people. Hated large numbers of his neighbors based on skin color, orientation, etc. allied himself with the corrupt and fascist. Took shelter in religious ideology to pretend he wasn't a bad person. Also a multimillionaire. The usual.

  • I used math tricks at first. But honestly, just switching even one clock like your watch or phone makes it pretty easy over time.

    1pm is easy to remember as it's 13, a prime number

    7x2 = 14(00)

    3x5= 15(00)

    4x4 =16(00)

    5pm is 17, also a prime.

    6x3 = 18(00)

    7pm is also a prime, 19(00).

    20, 21, 22, 23, and 00 also have math tricks, but you can also just remember that after 8pm, you have less than four hours till midnight :)

  • 12 hour time is an inferior standard, and we should be on 24 hour time so developers don't ever default to 12 hour time. Way too many instances of mission critical things getting swapped on am/pm by mistake. That is never a problem with 24h time.

  • Problem is, the US only really works when every state is in sync. Economies of scale and all that. Stuff will be a lot more expensive if you are just buying for the west coast and Colorado. and you'll have people from fucked up states trying to move to good states, bringing their terrible ideas.

  • You will never clog a toilet if you get a bidet. Putting tons of TP in is how you get clogs.

  • McCarthy really fucked it all up for us in 1954 with the lavender and red scares. That helped set the stage for those later cunts.

  • I want the next one to be rotated, but still in portrait. Giant black bars on the sides, and the print is tiny. Like full screening a badly edited video.

  • Oh God, that sounds awful. The worst we've ever had was ants, which are gross but manageable with some bait traps.

  • I don't trust Trump to execute it properly, tbh.

    Honestly though, anti-missile shields are something we (humanity) needs. Any moron these days can throw it all away in a suicidal instant, now that Putin started a new war and now we have a bunch of smaller wars all over.

    But DART showed the promise of orbital defenses, and I'd rather we have some semblance of countermeasures against large meteors, which this is a step towards doing. (Still, climate change is the existential threat that the entire world should be focusing on)

  • Hmm, might wanna switch to semi-metallic or metallic pads if you're getting bad brake fade. They'll be louder and won't have as much bite as organic, but they work well in the wet, and they won't fade as much as organics.

  • This is really painful to read. One would think they'd be swapping them to wood, metal, or concrete....

  • We'd take it! God, what I wouldn't give for some of our roads to be slower. Our neighbors and my family lobbied the city to install traffic calming measures on our road, but they declined, unfortunately. We even offered to give them the money to install even just a set of speed humps. Our road has lots of bicycles, children, and buses. People in private vehicles shouldn't be doing 60+ on a 40 kmh road.

  • 30 is hot, 20 is nice, 10 is cool, 0 is ice.

    Honestly, with metric, 24 hour time and celcius, the easiest way to learn is just to switch to it completely.

    I'm in an imperial country and still switched over to metric/24h/c just because it makes a lot more sense for most personal stuff. It's been enough years that I know much of it just ambiently. I prefer it, tbh.

  • Can we freeze someone else? I think we could fix things tbh.

  • Low key the cornerstone of modern civilization. Imagine a city where the streets are awash in millions of people's shit/piss, the water is heavily contaminated, and everyone is constantly getting fecal-oral diseases and cannot work or be healthy much of the time. Even when they are healthy, they might have to stay home and take care of sick family members.

  • What happened to him in the end? I remember her sacrificing herself to the winter, but all I remember is Geralt living and then the post game DLC. Maybe I got the really weird ending, haha
