It gives us certain rights and protections, tax benefits, etc. Hospital visitations, legal stuff, the ability to get in your own queue for immigration, and it's a sign to each other that you both are committed to each other for the long haul. It's a sign of trust.

Funny how both the president and VP both married immigrants or people of color, and he staffs his admin with people of color who are empowering neo Nazi freaks, who will throw them under the bus when things get bad.

We thought the same thing back in the late 90s and early 00s. It didn't work out very well for us. It gave them the economic and technological means to surveil their people and build up their military, while we benefited from cheap goods, but at the cost of losing our manufacturing base and electing someone who probably has serious brain damage. Who will now run our country into the ground.

All in all, I expect serious damage to our country, and China to go after Taiwan with their considerable military to grind up their young men, who have no chance of ever having a family after the one child policy screwed up their gender balance so badly.

If you have to hitch yourselves to another state, I recommend Europe over China.

I want kids, but the government is doing their damndest to make it as difficult as possible for us by crashing the economy, cutting all federal programs, staffing agencies with NPCs, etc. Give generous paternity leave stipulations, tax credits, legalize surrogacy, and give credits for AI (artificial insemination) and surrogacy. Not to mention universal healthcare and child care credits.

Make it easy for us to have kids, and we will, lol. Quit cockblocking us.

We need an income tax and wealth tax on those with over $50m in assets (including taxing the base 50m). Then we can close existing shortfalls from the pandemic, reduce or eliminate sales tax, and have a better and more equitable tax structure.

Which will be incredibly important, since that fucking cunt is going to blow a massive hole in our $60b+ in our yearly exports.

Swimming is definitely something that should be taught as part of schooling. Perhaps you'll never need it, but it is an important skill to have in case of an emergency, whether that's falling into a pool, getting caught in a flood, or saving a small child in a body of water.

I'm in a similar boat for my Corsair iron claw. Next mouse is definitely gonna be full plastic, this rubber compound wears out far too fast, and doesn't have replaceable parts. Definitely my last Corsair mouse.
