  • Did you do anything special during setup? I couldn't find many reports specific to this card on ProtonDB, but lots of people were using different Proton versions that weren't available on Steam so wasn't sure if that was it.

  • Okay I'll give this a shot first to determine if it's overheating. The air from the case doesn't feel like it's too hot coming out, and the game seems to run smoothly with no graphical disturbances until the moment of freezing or crashing, but I'm willing to try it out. I'll be going through these suggestions one by one hopefully tonight and tomorrow and will try to reply/update as I do so!

  • Ah gotcha I thought you were going off the original post. Thanks!

  • Hm I may be getting wooshed, but this is still binary? 4 in ternary would be 11.

  • I thought you had to find the square root of negative time to get it?

  • Wine off the wine tree and swine off the swine tree; it's basically paradise!

  • Username checks out.

  • For sure, there are lots of options for controllers for PC!

  • I mean Nintendo isn't really pro-consumer either. I'm not sure if they donate or support genocide, but they are pretty capitalistic to a fault.

  • Again, agreed. The original poster said "use Linux, that will remove everything Microsoft". That is disingenuous, because you can use Linux and still purchase Microsoft products compatible with Linux. So my point was not to toss your existing items. However, you cannot replace your existing physical Microsoft products, purchase new digital content, or support any of Microsoft software in addition to switching from Windows. I didn't imply anything about what you may already own.

  • I agree with all of this, my point is your Xbox controller is a Microsoft product? And if you purchase or play any games owned by Microsoft, they are also Microsoft products? So you would need to boycott all of that as well. That is just a much larger net cast than just not using Windows.

  • Well except for any Xbox peripherals such as controllers, or games published or made by studios owned by Microsoft. It's not just Windows OS.

  • I agree with OP, and I think you may as well but are stating it differently. Hardships and difficulty so indeed provide the opportunities to better oneself, but that shouldn't come from contrived abuse like bullying or hazing. Those are instances of someone using their previous difficulty as an excuse to make it harder for someone else which I don't believe is morally correct.

  • I wasn't arguing in bad faith. Everything I said was factual, honest, and trustworthy. You are correct that a nat 20 caused them to be really smart and have the best chance to read the runes (nothing shows them actually reading it to be fair). This is because the nat 20 is the highest possible roll available to the player, before modifiers are added! In many instances, rolling that high passes skill checks up to "Hard" (according to the DMG) automatically unless you have some negative modifiers. With the assumption that this player was attempting something actually attainable, this high roll is translated as the character having the absolute epitome of their ability to translate the runes (whether or not it is successful.)

  • It does in fact apply to skill checks and ability checks. Nat 20 just means rolling a 20 naturally on the dice before any modifiers are added :) I think what you meant was that "critical success" only applies to combat! In this instance, the natural 20 still means it's the highest possible roll for an ability checks which gives it the highest possibility of success.

Just a daily reminder that someone can always come around and surpass in pedantry. (Sorry I couldn't resist :) No hard feelings meant)
