Thanks, I didn’t know that and never bothered to look. But then you still have the (SEO) issue of all the domains vs one in the case of Reddit or Quora or Stack Overflow. But yeah, a few very large Lemmy instances will probably start to rank well once they have enough good content.
Except each instance has its own URL meaning ranking for ANYTHING is extremely hard since each domain’s rank will always be weak in the sea of others. Each is even being penalised by the algorithm if there are duplicate content mirrored between different URLs. It’s the weakness of the fediverse if we are to follow how search engines have worked in the last decades. Maybe it will lead to new search engines (I hope so) but right now it is not going to work well to replace for example Reddit … or rank well in general at all.
I really liked season one but stopped watching when the melted face bald guy stuff started, dunno if that was the second season maybe. By then everything was just too much trying too hard-cringe and I had to stop.
Why the hell would they voluntarily give a deal to a well known con man/scammer? Do they not read the news? This is a pretty big deal so the decision makes them look really bad and incompetent.
Seems to affect Keychain yes. And there are even examples in the article with an external password manager (Lastpass) so it doesn’t seem to matter how. But to be fair the vulnerability is quite complicated to abuse and I guess we can expect a fix very soon.
A guy that looks like Austin Powers but is actually a 4chan neonazi. Argentine is completely falling apart, this will not end well for them.
It’s also interesting how the people get constantly humiliated by neoliberalism in the modern gig economy but still vote for the (even more) extreme right, which with 100% certainty will destroy their lives even more. It’s like begging your abuser to continue.
Wait, you think they are going out of business by not selling cds and dvds? That is not an important business for anyone anymore and they will now have more space for things that generate money.
Hamas really killed themselves with their murders, Israels response will be brutal and long. But they will not kill “everyone” as you say, they are bombing Hamas targets and many of them are located in civilian spots. It will not stop Israel after these terror attacks and everyone knew this beforehand. Israels actions before have been exactly the same.
Hopefully Hamas will be completely eradicated and the Palestinians will reject these fascist leaders from now on, for betraying their trust and leading their people to even more suffering.
I don’t know if you know this but Hamas is controlling the administration of the Gaza Strip. They are a terrorist organisation but also the de facto local government.
Edit: I googled it. There is no source, basically just a guy claiming that would be logical for them to do but his timeframe is already proven wrong and Apple hasn’t announced anything.
I am on iOS and I use Liftoff. I actually don’t particularly like the looks of it but it is the ONLY app that can do swipe right anywhere to go back.
It is also the only app which allows for a very large text size span. Most apps just have ultra tiny text on the largest settings and that is just unusable on a mini phone.
There are lots and lots of apps but almost all of them fail on the basics.
It feels a bit like OP thinks all Brits sound like the inbred upper class fox hunters we see on tv. They have so many accents and variants of which many are far from elegant and proper.
