  • Individual Productivity is the wrong metric here. If you want to see the impact, I would say percentage of police calls diverted would be better. I will also say, these are still early days (whether it is 2 or 4 years), and this kind of thing takes time to establish. Cops and community members have to know it is an option and utilize it.

  • Build more mass transit in outlying areas, but also there are reasons for personal car ownership. My partner uses her personal car to do home health, for example. That is not possible with transit or on a bike. Plus it rains almost 9 months out of the year here, and good rain gear is spendy. I love e-bikes and transit, but electric cars have their place. There is not one solution.

  • The front latch is fine, but the rear one is a wire behind a piece of trim you have to remove (unless that has changed). The passengers in the rear would have to know where it was and how to use it. In an emergency, the likelihood of being able to do that is pretty low.

  • We had a Tesla (Model S we bought used for cheap) before Elon went off the rails, and can confirm every bit of that info. Service was a nightmare. My partner had to tell the technician about an active seatbelt recall at one point. We once got an overdue parking ticket in the mail because the shop would just park on the street and not pay. Honestly other than that, the car was fantastic, but little did we know we just won the Tesla lottery and did not get a car with massive problems. After Elon started Elonning, my partner got sideswiped and that totaled the car. Miss the car, but do not miss explaining that we did not agree with anything Elon was doing or saying.

  • Yeah, WA turned out mostly great across the state. I am sad about 2066, bit was all good other than that. Those initiatives were such a shitty little insidious way to go about it too. Brian Heywood is just Tim Eyeman 2, so get ready for this shot every election
