  • I can't say this for the author since they seemed to have finished the game, but Veilguard starts real rough, but got really fun to play. The story isn't anything to write home about, but it suits the more action oriented combat well. I get it is not the DA CRPG everyone seemed to want, but it is a damn fun 3rd person action game. Besides, we still have Baldurs Gate 3.

  • I dunno if you read the original or the version posted in the body here, but from the original it looks like his statement was stripped of context. What it looked like in the article: "US policy…openly, repeatedly announced…no ambiguity… [is to] continue the war in order to severely weaken Russia…so severely that it will not be able to undertake aggression again.”

Note the large amount of ellipsis and the editor inserting words.

I don't necessarily think Chompsky is super left, or that this conference should have happened, but that smacks of taking someone's words and slicing them to say something they were not saying. I feel like if it had the actual audio clips it might be easier to spot the edit.

  • For the same reason I was struck in season 1 by how amazingly well done the characters are and how it doesn’t matter because like the protagonists of a Marvel movies, their character arcs bend inexorably toward them becoming video game superheroes

That right there is a huge part of why season 2 felt lacking. It felt much more like fan service without any real character development

  • sometimes until they fall on their knees and kiss Stalin’s boots

I'm going to push back on that and say that in my experience, the tankies come from outside beehaw, and their ideas get a lot of opposition. I've seen plenty of beehaw admins/mods ban MLs that are denying genocide

  • Like I said before, I don't think that is why they were pointing out that it was an affiliate. Fox is a notoriously bad news source. Besides, if you thought it silly to point out what you think is obvious, you could have asked for clarification instead of being a jerk about it

  • That level of snark was 100% unnecessary and missed the likely point that Fox is not a great news source in general. This seems to be better than Fox News since it is a local affiliate, but you could point that out and not be a jerk about it.
