  • I'm (sad) laughing at this because my kid's school recently brought back fundraising with more products that parents will actually buy (who are the ones contributing to the fundraising)

We had some conservative fucks ban a bunch of shit for fundraisers during the pandemic, and tried to blame all the lack of fundraising on covid. But the. Last year, it was proof they ruined everything and were voted out.

  • Same. As I got older, I feel like I am winning. I celebrate 10+ years at my career (jumped three jobs). I no longer drink myself to sleep, instead I drink casually. Im married and secured in my relationship.

My legs feel a bit weaker and my body isn't at its peak. But I have a lot of successes in so many other directions.

  • They did that when I was a kid too.

Most Handsomest Male teacher was absolutely a survey question.

But kids got in trouble if we did the Female teachers.

And the answer was Ms. Ellis.

Not because she was a bombshell, but because she wore cute floral dresses. Get your mind out of the gutter.

  • Yeah this is the truth.

Bartender friend I knew bragged about how he always underpaid taxes. Guy was a UFO/lizard people run banks/illuminati kinda guy and even bought crypto and NFTs.

Well, he made big bank and quit bartending. Big show of it and bought everyone drinks for the whole night because he was practically a millionaire. (Assuming. Didn't really ask)

But came back last year because he needed to make money and constantly blames the IRS for taking everything.

  • Grew up in the ghetto of the US.

Would watch Fresh Prince and Family Matters and like "WOW look at that. Their house is so pristine. Everything looks new. Everyone has their own room. People sit at a dining table."

My house was dark, smelled funny, full of random junk and we'd have mattresses on the floor to fit a large family.

All my hood friends had the same experience. I had friends whose bedroom also their living rooms.

Now I have friends who have a lot of money. 6 figure incomes and everything. Their house is slightly better looking, but that's about it. Still full of stuff. Messy if you surprise them on a off day.

Average American is no longer the standard for quality living.

  • What's hilarious is the tariffs appear in their "Haul" storefront, which is just their version of Temu. It's pretty new like a few months old and an attempt at stealing business from those other apps.

So you're telling me that a online shopper would stumble on Amazon Haul, never ever knowing about the many other discount e-commerce stores, and won't quickly piece together WHY things are priced that way?
