  • Microsoft inventions that made the gaming space a better competitive environment:

    Always online single player: GFWL

    Pay to play online: Ace

Pay to play console online up till last year: MW

Pay to play F2P console online: for over a decade

And that's just from the top of my head. The closest thing in the known universe to the behaviour of Microsoft is a tumour. It sends metastases to other organisations and then it assimilates and deletes any identity the original organisation had.

Microsoft needs to be broken from Xbox, it already has a monopoly on the gaming sphere by controlling the OS of the majority, now it wants to metastasise to other platforms to begin assimilation. The future of core gaming is bleak.

  • Much is being said about Poland’s economy potentially overtaking Britain by 2030, but in some areas Poles are already ahead.

A bit of a cunty header init? Let's see Poland overtake the UK in 2030 with the cooling down of the German economy and potential reduction in subsidies from the EU which represent 1,6% of Poland’s GDP plus ancillary effects from job creation and direct German investment.

  • By design. Cut all the middle men (including thousands of jobs in logistics, distribution and sales) and absorb all of that trickled down wealth upwards in the form of bonuses to the gents who annihilated an entire industry, not by lack of demand, but because the incentive structure is completely opposite to the interests of society at large.

  • Sadly that evaluation trusts what Apple says, not what Apple does.

With the stagnation of iPhone growth, Apple has turned to services and there's nothing more profitable than selling access to people.

  • Call me when GN explains how having an engineer sent by an incumbent monopoly holder provide exclusive content right before a massive launch is not a massive conflict of interest.

I too would ditch low input advertisers like NZXT for clout if I was making the same money GN makes from NVIDIA alone.

From its inception, GN has been covering for EVGA and for NVIDIA. He's the origin of the story "it's user error" when it's obvious for anyone to see it was a design fault (including the consortia that published the specs and revised the 12V-2x6 connector because it was a shit connector).

It's easy to be strong vs small companies when one has the backing of one of the wealthiest companies on earth. Let Steve publish the contract he has with NVIDIA if he's so keen on ethics and transparency.

Till then, it's just a competitor throw shade at another competitor for the sake of clout and audience. They're both the same marketing arms of technology companies. Note that Linus is one the bigger YT advertisers for AMD and both companies are just releasing a new gen...

  • The drop in clocks in certain situations that a lof of outlets are "conveniently" attributing to CPU limitations, has all the hallmarks of throttling... It's hard to criticise the incumbent monopoly holder when they have a history of blacklisting outlets that espouse consumer advocacy.

  • Europe downscaled their artillery shell production capacity intentionally after the cold war ended. Russia got a significant portion of their ammo from NK. That comparison as a benchmark is ridiculous. I don't even know why I waste my time. That's some Radio Free Europe BS.

  • Yes yes, everyone knows the scale of military industry is measured in billions wasted spent and not in output or quality. Look at the F35s, a shining example of money well spent... The biggest problem of EU's military Industry is that they've been preparing to fight a sci-fi war and forgot artillery et al are still a thing. Otherwise, not worried at all.

  • The fact that everyone but 4 people like Taylor Swift make her music great. The fact that all but 4 people use Tik Tok make it a great social media app. The fact that all but 4 people voted for Trump makes him a great president.

    Or....

    Maybe...

Doom has a history and is shifting further away from it in an attempt to capture a larger audience, like the skibidi toilet crowd that needs 24/7 overstimulation and nearly has a stroke when they need to use more than two neurons to perform an action...

2016 was good enough. More of that wouldn't alienate anyone.
