  • Your image doesn't seem to be working. It's with noting though that the University has a lot of buildings in the city centre still. I imagine your picture is of the shared campus Zernikeplein, which is partly the Hanze UAS, of which I am an alumnus.

Edit: ah your image loaded and I see this is the Academy Building in the city centre. All the cars are parked at the Zernike campus lol

  • I went from a 1070Ti to a €600 4070.

There was no need whatsoever for that. I have noticed almost no difference at 1440p 165Hz except newer games go like 20 fps higher.

I was thinking VR would be hugely different. It wasn't, and now my headset cable is broken so I can't even game in VR.

  • I understand how you might feel this way. But a key difference to the early 1930s is that there are many large-scale protests against far right extremism in Germany. The elections in the Netherlands did produce a right wing tendency, but there is no government as of yet and the PVV is still pretty far away from fascism. The other three large winners of the election are not even that right wing. At least no more than the party that ruled for the last 15 years.

That said, I do kinda hope that this phase passes quickly and that people will start to finally get along and care about our fellow humans. Even though we never have.

  • In the exact same situation here, but a few months ahead. I was told by a vet that a farting kitten is an indication something is wrong with the diet. Our little girl does both, being really smelly on the box and walking around passing gas. The farting got less over time.

Problem is we also have two older cats so we can't really get specialised food for one. We'd need special food for all three which can get really expensive.

We hope the problem will pass with time, maybe she needs to get used to the diet or something. Maybe at some point she'll prefer doing her business outside and we'll notice it less.

  • I don't think the two are at all comparable. F1TV shows live content whereas Netflix is more of a library. Considering their monthly fee, how many minutes of content would you have to watch for a minute to be as expensive as a minute of F1? In the end, it all boils down to if you find it worth the money.

Essentially, F1TV could create a separate subscription for just the qualifying and races, leave out all the talking and nonsense, no supporting races et cetera. I think that would generate a lot of users that find 95 a year too steep.

  • Depends on where you live. But considering you get 24 live races, it's around four euros a race so less than a euro per session if you watch all the qualifying and practice. If you also watch F2 and F3 it's even less per race.

65 was really cheap, I think them finally deciding to ask a higher price after all these years of giveaways and discounts is not that odd.

I'll stick with it for now, but I will keep an eye on what they do in the following years. The alternative in the Netherlands is Viaplay, which is considerably more expensive but gives you a lot more sorts and tv shows. On the other hand, their F1 was so bad they just include F1TV now.
