There's loads of things in tv shows that just skip the boring, logistical parts. Nobody wants to see a bookkeeper painstakingly taking leaflets and bets in orderly fashion.

Besides, if there's no record whatsoever, what's to stop a bookie from taking money from the losers, and telling the winners 'prove it'? Besides a knuckle sandwich, that is.

Another one is basically any desk job, but particularly IT jobs in TV and movies. Even the most elite hackers don't just insert a thumb drive in a laptop, hammer the keyboard and yell 'I'm in'. Mr. Robot is the only show so far where hacking is portrayed somewhat believable, and it's still mostly social engineering.

As for programming, the only show I've ever seen who do a realistic way of describing VC funding and agile project development is Silicon Valley, but even there you'll find the most boring things are just omitted.

Point is, it's just difficult to make administrative tasks interesting enough to keep the attention of viewers.

I only go Tuya if there is absolutely no Zigbee alternative. I've got curtain bots on Tuya which were fine when it was one curtain but now they barely respond to automations anymore.

Ik zou vanwege de verregaande versplintering in ons politieke landschap op het moment zeker geen partij oprichten.

Ik denk dat iedereen in de politiek zal roepen: eerlijker, goedkoper, welvarender, gezonder, leuker, mooier bla bla bla. De crux van een politieke partij is welke keuzes je gaat maken. Dingen moeten ergens van betaald worden. Om ons klimaat nog enigszins te fixen, zullen we geld bij bijvoorbeeld infrastructuur weg moeten halen. Of de belastingen moeten omhoog. Maar hogere belastingen zijn problematisch voor de koopkracht. En een lagere koopkracht wordt over het algemeen bevochten met een hoger minimumloon, waardoor bedrijven hun winstmarge zien verkleinen en die gaan dat dan doorberekenen aan de klant. Dat is wat ze in de economie 'procyclisch' noemen.

Gevolgen van beleid moeten goed doordacht worden, waarvoor we de Algemene Rekenkamer hebben. Het is geen goed teken dat een kabinet komt met een plan waarvan de Rekenkamer zegt dat het belachelijk is.

In Nederland zitten de superrijken er nog warmpjes bij terwijl de middenklasse betaalt voor de sores van mensen die het niet breed hebben, inclusief vluchtelingen. In plaats van een superrijken-tax of hogere druk op winsten, zijn er nu politieke partijen die kwetsbare groepen aanwijzen als het probleem.

Een aantal simpele stappen om issues aan te pakken:

• UBI in plaats van alle toeslagen
• Versimpelen van belastingschijven en meer winstbelasting met een vrije voet voor MKB
• Extra belasting op vermogen boven een miljoen nieuw vermogen per jaar
• Afschaffen van de hypotheekrenteaftrek (als je niet weet waarom, kijk Lubach even terug), effect 9 mld per jaar
• Structurele trajectcontroles op alle snelwegen met meer dan 2 banen omdat daar structureel te hard wordt gereden, slecht voor het milieu, ongelukken dus ziektekosten en get levert de schatkist een mooie bonus op
• Stimuleren van gezonde levensstijl door blijven subsidiëren van sportclubs en het stimuleren van geven van kortingen op zorgpolissen voor degenen die moeite hebben met het betalen maar wel kunnen bewijzen dat ze goed eten, genoeg bewegen en verder goed voor zichzelf zorgen. Het begint overigens met voorlichting. Eventuele vet- en suikertaks. Ongezonde rommel is nu goedkoper dan goed voedsel. Dit zou kunnen zorgen voor minder ziektekosten.

Dit levert een flinke zak geld op.

I've picked it up as a casual follow because there's not much else at the moment. It's okay but I am not overwhelmed.

The show focuses, in my opinion, a bit too much on that human/bot mix portraying all kinds of ways he's not actually human. It distracts from the (in my opinion rather thin) storyline. Maybe this is one of those shows that is complementary to the books it's based on?

Overly full lips. There's a bandwidth there where it should fit the rest of the facial features. Filling them up with collagen just almost never looks good.

Although I fully agree with keeping it simple like that and I would state to anyone that this is basically correct, there are some technical differences between a 'normal' LED and QLEDs. And then there's also Quantum Dot OLEDs which applies this 'quantum' (marketing term) layer to an OLED screen.

So in short, yeah they're different but it's indeed mostly marketing.
