AI is creating fake historical photos, and that's a problem

Republicans: Want people to have more children
Also Republicans: Hey let's make it harder for people to care for the children they have
Appreciate this.
The patriarchy and gender roles are definitely a big part of why men suffer, and it's as much of a men's issue as it is a women's issue.
That said, I do think it's debatable on whether or not modern feminism is truly intent on dismantling it from both sides.
How was it whataboutism? I didn't see anyone comparing him to Trump when I was replying. Hitler is absolutely not the any kind of standard that we should be comparing most politicians to hopefully. I'm also painfully aware that Trump is far worse in regards to foreign policy. I can imagine him offering further support to Israel even.
Look. I've already resolved to vote for Biden. There really isn't much choice, but that doesn't mean I have to ignore what he's responsible for. Nor should history forget it either. If that somehow hinders his campaign, then so be it. Anyone who votes for Biden without these considerations is an accessory to the genocide though.
I really dislike how this always comes down to whataboutism.
I already consider Biden to be the lesser of the two evils here. That doesn't mean I have to look away from his actions though, nor does it mean I have to support them.
The general public has sadly been guilted into the idea that dealing with the vast majority of pollution is their problem. Don't get me wrong, there is some personal responsibility, but much of it is out of our hands.
I wouldn't say identify. Pretty sure many of us don't follow Andrew Tate or influencers in general. We're showing empathy for the general situation. Sorry it bothered you.
He's a far cry from it for certain, but he shares a considerable amount of responsibility for what is occurring in Gaza that a lot of people feel uncomfortable with that.
I'm sure some people have already forgotten because China and Russia recently vetoed the last conflict resolution proposed in the U.N. but don't let that stop you from remembering that our U.N. ambassador, appointed by the President who can revoke that appointment, issued multiple vetoes against multiple Gaza conflict resolution proposals previously.
The comments are quite saddening, and also quite worrying.
This isn't to put women's issues down, but men have problems too. There's a reason why young men turn to these grifters and get manipulated by them.
Even above all of that, assuming you don't agree, it's a problem. We're building up generations of uneducated and toxic men led by these role models. We can't just shrug that off and say it's not our issue, because at some point it is going to be our issue.
Don't know about other Americans, but I would love to be able to have this kind of lifestyle. It's just not realistic over here due to the infrastructure. It's not within my power to make the changes necessary for it though.
Cats are the rightful rulers of this world. It would be foolish to oppose them.
I've played this game before, although not entirely as formal. It's basically when you don't want to ghost each other, and you're both being or attempting to be polite about it so that you can keep them as a possibility for later.
I'm not saying to be uncivil, but that's usually what's going on, and it's really obvious when you don't have any long term commitments between each other that won't need to be resolved in the future.
Yeah, probably Poe's Law. Probably.
Basically this.
Going green is good, but the reality is it's out of the control of the average individual. Corporations sold us the blame, made us feel like we could do something so they could pass it off as our responsibility.
Even if every single low to middle income family took charge and did everything they could at their own inconvenience, the progress would still be far less in comparison to what the wealthy could achieve. Sadly, we barely ever think about this and even modern climate activists like that young Swedish girl have come to perpetuate the lie that the wealthy have sold us.
I mean you can, but the market is a lot smaller.
Aside from that, there's nothing stopping you besides pride, and going through the efforts to make yourself attractively presentable. Grab some filter apps, and selfie editing apps, and prepare to spam your advertisements everywhere possible. Maybe even network a bit on different socials too. It's absolutely not zero effort, I'll say that.
There's give and take though. Men have access to a lot of easier to get into fields.
Think it's cause I'm a slow texter but I've never had the issue. Might also just be due to a lot online chats not really using it anymore.
Should have said while approving/enabling of a genocide.
The current administration has vetoed multiple UN drafts for a conflict resolution over Gaza as well as other UN resolutions proposed. We're still sending the Israelis weapons. Neither congress nor the current administration care.
Oh absolutely. You're right, framing it that way does seem to ignore the current issues we face as a society.
I believe that our mental health as a society is problematic, but it's not the individual's fault due to neglect. There are root causes in the background that are responsible. People don't need therapy, but rather living conditions need to improve.
I don't mean to sweep this under the rug, but I think that just stands as another case for the fact that an enormous amount of people in this country have mental health issues. It's normalized at this point.
Besides that, news outlets that report on this only do so basically of the drama and the views. The solutions are in front of us, always have been, but that's not what anyone truly cares about.
Might be defeatist, but it's still an up hill battle. It's a lot of effort to stay off the grid while still having access to a lot of modern technology.
I'm not about to start using multiple phones, swapping them in and out of faraday cages, never connecting to the net through anything besides proxy chains, and keeping my pc on an external hard drive. The list goes on and on for what you'd have to do to really truly have privacy. It's a lot of work.
I used to be excited about it, especially the image generation AI.
I believe that the internet has already lost a lot of authenticity in general. The amount of misinformation boomers and gen X lap up on their socials is unreal.
Having advanced image/video AI that would force people to call everything into question, to double check and to fact check sounded good. Except, people aren't fact checking.
