  • Sounds like you're just copying a template to new files based on a csv? You don't have to edit anything inside the word files at all?

If that's the case, just load the csv file, I think the command is Read-Content, loop through each line, split by ',' parse whatever name data you need and copy your template.docx to your new file.docx

  • My head still does the dumb math on those numbers and immediately goes, "125k loan, 50k salary, she should have that paid off in 2.5 years!"

I have no idea why I still need to take a second to figure out that it doesn't work that way. How the hell did I ever pay off my student loans?

  • This pretty similar to why I stopped watching their vids. I always thought they were a trusted authority, until they covered a product that I had some familiarity with. I wasn't even an expert at it, I was just interested so I read some articles, visited some forums and subreddits about it for a week or two. Their video on it had a couple of mistakes and they omitted a couple of minor features, but were important to me. There was nothing egregious but it was pretty surprising to me that in this one thing, I knew more than them, despite not doing much research.

  • Lol, I have my favorite file_put_contents line for debugging php, but being able to step through code would be great. What's your setup? Last time I tried I couldn't get xdebug working on win server + apache.

  • That's fair, pretty good reason, especially for enthusiasts, to not want to buy it.

For me, I stopped being able to notice any significant lag on my phones 2-3 generations ago. I guess I don't do anything that requires that much processing power on my phone anymore.

  • I've thought about it some more, and I think I've identified what I really want out of a foldable.

I want the promise of the one device to replace a phone, tablet, and laptop. Currently, were no where near that. Hardware wise I think we're there, but software, we still have a long way to go to get all apps to support a tablet mode.

"Laptop" mode I haven't even bothered trying for most things. It does work pretty well for work, using RDP, Teams, Outlook.

  • Love them, tried out the Z Flip 3, Oppo Find N, currently have the Pixel Fold.

I understand that it's not for everyone and I don't think it's a must buy for me, but I really like the form factor and I'm glad for the option.

  • Same here, I listened to their solo albums and while I didn't think any of it was bad at the time, I don't remember any of it. None of it stuck, which is so sad as every song on their albums were so good.

  • Went through the same thing. It's a little game now to try to use less energy than the solar panels are generating. Used to keep my gaming PC on all the time, and watch everything on a giant tv, but now I'm mostly using a tiny laptop. Really helps when you see how much electricity you're using and how of that you do t really need.
