  • And you seem to be forgetting about the Saudi-led proxy war between them and Iran with the Houthis caught in the middle. The one that most people not working in Congress or the White House agree is an abominable atrocity.

Iran bad ≠ Saudi-led atrocities good

  • After seizing control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas National Guard units deployed by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott have prevented Border Patrol agents from entering the area

So fascist-occupied Texas is just invading federal territory by official order now? Isn't that tantamount to a declaration of war against the US government?

  • "why would you not go to the places where the people putting you in concentration camps prefer to catch you?" 🤔

Probably much safer to try and get into New Mexico or California and THEN seek asylum than to give yourself up to the people allowed to do anything short of murdering you who don't even always abide by THAT restriction.

  • However you dress it up, charging others for shelter isn't creating anything. It's profiting off others.

Besides, the vast majority of tennants rent apartments, not houses, so don't pretend that your very specific example is the norm.

  • We're talking about landlording, not what they did to afford to start landlording.

They didn't make the building and, while they put down the first payments, their tennants are the ones paying for it.

That's not creating wealth. That's not work. That's living off the wealth created by others.

If it's so easy to own a house, go buy one

Like all other passive income, the challenge is having enough money to start with.

Once you get past that point, it IS easy, but due to the inherent inequities of capitalism, getting there is literally impossible for the vast majority of people.

  • Yeah, there probably wouldn't even BE any Houthi terrorist attacks if not for the US-backed atrocities in Yemen and Gaza..

The only things that come from fighting terrorism via warfare is a lot of dead people (mostly civilians) and MORE terrorism.

  • America was already tolerating a ton of corruption, though, just much less brazen.

Basically, bribing a politicians is completely legal as long as you don't tell the world what you're bribing them to do.

Blackmailing them with threats of supporting their opponents if they don't say or do what you want is completely fine too, apparently.

The trick is to not be too blatant about it, brag about it, deny it and then brag about it some more like the Mango Mussolini does.
