So has Russia even before this war, so has Saudi Arabia, so has Qatar, so has Germany, so has the US, so has lots of countries. I thought we learned after Iraq that just because a leader is insane that doesn't mean we should invade and war against them. There's sanctions, but it's obvious by now that those only ever really hurt the common people. The best way to change a populace is by having them integrate with the world, get educated and modernized.

Can you fix the last couple links? Nature's patterns isn't working for me. Also, love this thread. Going to start pulling all these communities into my All feed by clicking on all of them lol.

Damn, imagine some alternative universe where Covid didn't happen, the tourist initiative went forward full force, and they opened up and became more soft on their foreign policy as a result.

It makes me want to move, but all my family and friends are here, and my SO's job which she enjoys and has coworkers she likes. It's so tough =( I wish this country was is willing to fight. I also wonder what it would take. The BLM movement was good, but a lot of the gains from that were rolled back. So I guess anything less than citizens getting shot in the streets doesn't cause anything and we have to settle for this slow moving fascist take over.

I thought this was a really well written article actually. Conservatives know what they're doing, they don't need to hear this. They don't care, they just want their religion to be law, and the first amendment to be abolished. Other people need to know what the conservatives are doing so we can fight back against it or at least know they're arguing in court in bad faith.

Plus requiring people to come back to the office to justify their real estate leases.

I switched from a Chromecast to a Roku TV and I've been looking the interface a lot more. There's probably some settings I didn't mess with, but Roku's default setting displays a lot of info in a good space, and it looks good, and I've only seen the occasional ad off to the side, not taking too much screen real estate. I also am a sucker for customizable and seasonal themes, though lol.

Good news, that's basically now. So many people I know have been getting Covid in the last week E two lol.

I've actually been enjoying a lot of them after the first episode. But this one felt like a major step down for me.

The whole LaBarbara cheating thing hasn't been funny to me in a long while. And their desire to stay in the middle of the vaccine culture war felt pandering, plus a lot of the jokes have already been done, like the Zoom stuff.

I know it's been done, but I did still get a chuckle at how every person wore their mask differently.

Still feels like it categorizes LGBTQ people as lesser rather than just allowing same-sex marriage, but I guess it's better than nothing.
