Not really. The same reason why alot of social media is still incredibly successful even when they are actively violating your privacy; people just want something easy to use and out of the way. They don't care at all as long as it works so when you try to give them an alternative, they might join but then see that no one is on their or is much more difficult and as such results in them hopping and then leaving.
I feel like it's healthier to check on those sites every now and again. It helps you realize how refreshing for example Mastodon is compared to Twitter.
I can see it happening at some point especially with all the alternatives but it'd be really hard to get that appeal especially with how some people within the fediverse view tiktok. You're also gonna have a hard time in my opinion getting users from TiktTok over so you can't really appeal to that crowd. I wouldn't say its impossible but it'd just be really really difficult.
Oh then im wrong then. I have specific end use case so I just assumed it was a much older kernel considering their conservative response towards GNOME and etc.
Initially pre orders made sense back when physical media was the only way to get games. Nowadays though, you are absolutely right. Digital games have no right to cost around the price as a physical product (especially when even that physical product doesn't even have a cool manual and its just an empty plastic box with a disc in it).
It took 7 years for that post to get to that guy. It's gonna take some time but patience and asking alot questions is needed. (and also alot of subcommunities)
I've always found this take to be quite funny. You're right but it is an incredible learning experience if you have the time for it. Otherwise, its incredibly stable and you can control any aspect. So I'd say more if you're a masochist who's also a sadist.
