  • I think we should wait to learn more about the shooter before making silly assumptions. Just as likely it could be gang related as it is some right wing gun nut.

  • You know, I’m surprised they haven’t launched a paid for, privacy centric email service like Proton or FastMail. They can give basic service for free and then charge a nominal fee for more storage like the others do. It seems like a simple way to drum up some revenue and rely a little less on the payment from Google.

  • I’m slowly beginning the process of moving to Proton Mail. Staying with the free account for now, but really want to get away from Gmail.

  • This guy rambles like an old man who’s read too much Facebook.

  • I have no idea who the guy pontificating after the main video is, but the dude is annoying as hell.

  • I bet you don’t realize how many things in the US are subsidized by the federal government one way or the other.

  • That’s my thinking, too. I wonder how many new drivers started once the ordinance was passed in an attempt to catch the higher wage being spoken about.

  • That’s terrible. Damn man. Makes me remember that no matter what level of success you achieve, you’re still vulnerable. Gotta focus on the important things in life every chance I get.

  • Ain’t it a bitch when OTHERS use the right you thought only you’d be able to use? What a dumbass.

  • But didn’t DeSantis explicitly say he was making these changes because Disney spoke out against the law?

  • Geez. How the hell does someone go THAT FAR off the rails?

  • I’d be interested in Buttigieg, but I’m also not sure how much experience he has in brokering deals.

Also, replacing Harris with Pete is going to affect the number of votes from the Black community, most likely. Additionally, in a year where reproductive rights are going to be a huge topic of conversation, replacing a female running mate seems short sighted. Even my conservative mother in law is fired up over the need to protect abortion rights.

  • Honestly, this is how government works in our system.

It’s not perfect but it’s how things get done and letting Russia win would set a TERRIBLE precedent for their future expansion goals and for China’s inevitable moves on Taiwan.

  • I’m not sure it’s that as much as it’s Swift’s potential ability to sway public opinion and/or hire an army of lawyers to really bog down X.

It sucks that it’s happening to her (or anyone for that matter), but her status may be great enough for the law makers to move on this. Also, he status is definitely great enough to force Musk to do SOMETHING, at least superficially to appear as though X isn’t just a more polished 4Chan.

  • This is a no brainer as China continues to push to tighten it’s grip on Taiwan. I’m glad it’s moving forward. It may not be a profit making deal for the government, but it’s definitely a move to suring up national security.

  • It’s astounding. The original GOP was about small government and personal freedoms. Now, they want government involved in restricting those personal freedoms and have added a new layer of corporate protectionism.

  • Remember when he floated the idea that the DNC was keeping Biden away from in person speaking events because his mental acuity was declining?

    Remember?

  • Seems like a great idea to me. Invest in the population and it’ll pay off, long term.

One of my greatest regrets is dropping out of college. I’m doing ok, thankfully, but it hasn’t been an easy path.
