I can’t understand the people who dislike her. My sisters don’t like her either and think she’s “dumb” but every time she speaks, she makes what seems to me to be well thought out, rational arguments.

As long as you enjoy it, all the power to you. That’s what matters most.

Word of warning: Some people in communities like this are going to probably share their opinions of pod based coffee of which, most, may be negative.

It’s always funny how when it’s a democratic politician found guilty, everyone agrees it’s fair and right. When it’s a Republican, it’s a witch hunt for half of the country.

Because of some of the COVID social programs, that chart should go back another 5 years, or so, to show a more accurate picture of the trend. I have no idea what it would look like, but my first thought is that 2022 is when the remaining COVID protections started being phased out which would, obviously, reduce the spending number. So, going back to 2019 and even 2018 would give us a better idea of the relative spend now versus then.

Reading the article, it seems like it may have been more of a case of poor judgement from management instead of intentional racism (maybe subconscious stereotyping, though). It's a really stupid mistake. For any holiday, all you have to do is ask the team for input BEFORE making decisions and you can avoid most of this nonsense.

I've seen a number of companies where I live give holiday pay for employees working on Juneteenth

It's wild how one single guy pretty much opened the flood gates for brazen stupidity to be a brand instead of an embarrassment.
