Ten years ago I’d say “wtf” but then I had ube keso (purple yam and cheese) ice cream. I don’t understand why it is not awful and is in fact delicious, and now I think the only valid way to judge an ice cream flavor (within reason) is to ignore the list of contents and just taste it.
A key innovation of the new study is that the researchers were also able to figure out what kinds of information the deep-learning model was using to make its antibiotic potency predictions. This knowledge could help researchers to design additional drugs that might work even better than the ones identified by the model.
That is awesome. I wonder if the techniques that they have used to expose the machine learning “black box” process can be applied to other models - from my understanding of it, that would be pretty big news in and of itself.
I’m not sure how many boxes it ticks off for you, but I’ve been trying to get away from Tuya gear and a friend put me on to “Athom”. Most (all?) of their stuff seems to come pre-flashed with Tasmota and with what I’ve had, it integrates nicely with home assistant (mqtt + tasmota plugin, config the globe and you’re good to go).
I’ve just gotten two of their 15W led globes plus a WS2812 addressable LED controller a few weeks ago, and so far so good with all of the above.
From what I’ve seen I’m pretty sure they have plugs/sockets for a few different countries available, they have in-wall stuff, smart light switches, relays, and pretty sure they do some zigbee or similar as well.
I picked mine up from Ali Express but I’ve seen them on Amazon and they’re probably available on other places as well (eBay, etc).
Ah that’s great. It wasn’t an option when I had to get it sorted but that was a few years ago. The self-service options in the app are excellent for basic config and troubleshooting.
I have AussieBB and had to give them a call at one point to allow inbound traffic so I could expose my self-hosted server. They flicked a switch for my account and then everything came good.
If you give them a ring and explain what you’re trying to do it should get sorted out very quickly. Their customer service staff are very knowledgeable and friendly - they’re the best RSP I’ve ever had.
Ive been using Pixelfed since late June quite happily. I’ve never used stories, but it looks like they have them if that’s something that interests you:
Some instances may restrict the creation of communities for various reasons. Looks like you’re coming in from sh.itjust.works which seems to have disabled community creation for the time being, but if you want to set one up there might be someone you can ping over there to get the ball rolling.
Do whatever works for you, friend. If you don't have the time or don't want to start/run a community, then you don't have to. Nobody is forcing anyone either way, but if someone wants something to change, then someone will have to do something about it for that to happen.
In this instance, we can engage with the platform through interacting, posting content, and creating and supporting communities. Setting up and running a community is another option that is available to the original commenter, and is one thing that they can do to fill an existing gap that they see. Whether or not they have the time or energy to do that is up to them.
