  • Meh. My comments were not solutions, my comments were either on articles or joke comments or as part of a discussion. You're deliberately forgetting that reddit is filled with shit posts and pointless slap fights.

  • No. No way to skip the story as far as I'm aware and it'd be a bad idea honestly as the story continues right from ARR to all the expansions, endwalker has a lot of callbacks to everything before it as it's a swansong of something like 8 years. Dawntrail is the first new major story arc since FFXIV's release. Leveling isn't so bad currently because it's boosted to get as many people to 90 as much as possible but there's no max level item either as far as I'm aware as you pick a class then that class becomes a specialisation so you're constantly getting new abilities to learn for your rotation. It would defeat the point of learning your specialisation if you skipped the leveling and quests of it to max level and had everything unlocked.

  • I had the priory of the orange tree for years but never read it as I wasn't sure if it'd be my thing as I bought it on a whim. When I did eventually read it last year, it turned out to have everything I like in a book. Different mythology influences, lgbtq characters written well and characters I gave a shit about.

  • First time I played WoW I liked that you were given a guided tour of your races homeland as it explained the world. The last time I played WoW I had to to a tutorial island that explained nothing about the world and then dumped me in an expansion with characters I had no fucking idea who they were and why I should care about them. Even ESO doesn't prevent new players from playing the base storyline and FFXIV still requires you to complete ARR before moving to the first expansion. I dropped WoW pretty quickly again because I felt too lost.

  • Movieprep or kleenprep I'm guessing. Basically it's a powder you mix with water and then you take it every hour during the night. It's like a heavy duty laxative, I've had to use it for endoscopies as I've ulcerative colitis. And it does totally clean you out.

  • Indentured servitude is still a form of slavery. A form where people signed themselves away to pay off debts at the cost of having little fucking rights. Slaves also didn't just work on cotton plantations, some were servants to nobles too.

  • Yep. I've had no interest in watching the remakes but that's because I grew up with watching the originals as a kid but if I had kids then I would take them to see the remakes while they can watch the originals too. It's a non issue imo. The remakes aren't essential viewing for anyone.

  • Same. It bugs me that people think larian only existed when making BG3. When DoS2 released on steam that game hit overwhelmingly positive in no time and I bought it day one with no idea what it was because the reviews were so good. Larian will be fine because they stick to what they're great at and they've been around a long time.
