  • I feel like I'm about to get into these android based emulators. Which of the Retroid's do you reckon I should go for? This new 2S seems really nice. I want mostly to play arcade games, PS1 and Saturn games. PS2 and Dreamcast would be a nice bonus.

  • Having Lemmy alts is not a bad thing. Using them to circumvent bans very much is, tho.

  • Smells like jet fuel? Splendid!

  • Dude gotta have extended lungs. Ain't no way man.

  • Don't. Use your own words or don't even respond to the thread.

  • Ah yeah I really like the Ys series. I started with Ys Origin and absolutely loved that, it was almost like an isometric Metroidvania, that one. With excellent and memorable music, the music is amazing in this series! I did play Ys VIII too on the Switch and yeah, the performance issues are noticeable. The game is still very playable despite that. I just lost steam at some point about 2/3rds of the way into the game, after the big cave at the top of the mountain. The ape enemies infuriated me, lol. I do want to play more of the series, mainly the older titles. I already know I don't like the first couple with the bump style combat, but I want to play at least 6 and 7.

  • I really want one of these, or something similar in the near future. A Steam Deck would be nice, but that's much more expensive and hard to get here. Honestly I just want my PC's emulation power, but in a form I can lay down in bed and play while chilling. I usually go with my Switch Lite for that, but having access to hundreds of retro emulated games would be even better!

  • Oh no the poor little multi-million dollar gambling and hotel businesses, whatever shall they do...

  • I really like the interface and features of Firefish, which I just joined like a month ago. May it continue long and prosper!

  • You said it all. Episode 8 ruined everything forever. I didn't even bother trying to watch episode 9 after that, and been majorly checked out of anything SW since. The last good SW movie was Rogue One...

  • They lost the deal for it, after how badly received the end of GoT was. Then again, the new SW trilogy managed to be shit entirely without their help.

  • THE GODDAMN PEAR! I saw people get banned over it lmao. Yeah, good times back then. Being online was a lot less bullshit.

  • Nintendo first party titles are very stingy with sales. Many third party titles however, go on some pretty good sales with decent regularity. You might also want to make a Japan/Hong Kong/Singapore account to grab Asia-exclusive games sometimes, if those interest you.
As for the games I own and would recommend, there's:
    -BOTW
    -Metroid Dread -Dead Cells
    -Hollow Knight
    -Crimzon Clover: World EXplosion
    -Burnout Paradise
    -Fast RMX
-Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (or Rise)
    -Atelier Ryza (or Sophie)
    -Mario Kart
Just some general, off the top of my head recommendations. If you want recommendations of specific genres, I might be able to recommend further.

  • Oh my god I used to LIVE in Ultimate-Guitar back in the day. It was the first actual forum community I got into, and I played a lot of guitar, so I was always into the culture and news.

  • School of Rock, it kinda became a Christmas movie with my family, we watch it every year. Jingle All The Way with Arnold Schwarzenegger is the other one.
Then there's my personal favorite, Pacific Rim. I absolutely adore that movie, giant robots fighting kaijus. Too bad there was never a sequel.

  • I'd prefer that or going back to Paul Ricard (blegh) or Magny Cours please. Anything but a street race. Not another one.

  • Oh. That actually explains a lot. Why the game has been delayed for so long. Why their previous game, WRC Generations, came out as bad as it did. I wish I hadn't been getting my hopes up for this game now.

  • Helmut Marko strikes again! Now, who gets his seat? Lawson or Ricciardo?

  • I've NEVER liked the Fandom hosted wikis because their platform is so fucking bad. I also tend to strongly dislike the Fextralife wikis, mostly because their Souls pages were full of wrong information, or lacking information at all.
But Fandom wiki... blegh, it's like a full page ad with tiny holes for maybe having the info you need in the middle.

  • I still haven't figured out how to use Antennas. Other than that, Calckey has been a super great experience.
