I'm not internet god, but I have a possible first step forward with a protocol and working implementation ;
Decentralized websites, encrypted and takedown safe. Free, FOSS and based on reciprocal sharing. Nothing very complicated, you need to forward a port and run a program.
I'm just a geek though, not a manager or marketing person so I'd love some people checking it out.
Thunder comes from Thor hitting, ... Clouds with his hammer?
You go to geaven/hell if you do this don't...

It's just what many peoples software run on, because that was how they were taught/indoctrinated from birth and they didn't really have the need to break out of it. And well, if it works it might do it for them, the problem is they might think your life/lifestyle is the wrong way to live.
A long time ago I got rhe trilogy, but with the crappy cheezy 3D stuff added I went on a hunt for the "originals", nice to know why I didn't find them!
Reinstall my win os to use French because a) back in the day you couldn't just change language, b) scrips were VB written french (so si instead of if etc).
It's a protocol for like anyone digging in to it and post stuff.
If you don't heavily secure who is talking to who, then any script kiddie can send "Choco tablets at 50 cents available in n Denver" anywhere.
You can use it, but as it isn't made for inventory, you'll have to do lots of things to circumvent things just to make it work correctly. Also, it's not a proven protocol yet so it will maybe change, and then all your fixes goes out the window, or continue to work but just become unsecure, or wrecks havoc.
You should probably just go for a centralised (because you need control) protocol, like client server for example.
I usually liked to loosely follow the USA election cycle (and consequential debacles) but since a couple of years I have made several popcorn overdoses.
Then you find modetated forum and you can follow anyone, not just a community/subreddit, and over the years...
Great for sharing and storing valuable rare information too.
