Eh, fair point. That said, I use a spreadsheet for fitness, so I might be a bit biased.

All of the functionality mentioned in the comment I replied to is trivial to automate in a spreadsheet with a few manual entries every month.

Why not just make a spreadsheet?

I read a few of the Dresden Files, pretty solid books. I really enjoyed Codex Alera.

Another few suggestions: the Lightbringer series and the Night Angel series by Brent Weeks.

Mistborn is great as well.

Wheel of Time doesn't really fit "recent," but still fantastic.

Way of Kings is great. Codex Alera is a fun read as well

When I got my license, I had a 1995 Geo Prizm that I affectionately called Dumpy. The paint was peeling on it, and I ended up removing the front quarter panel after a deer jumped into it (deer was walking on the side of a country road, I slowed down to 20mph, got over to the other side of the road, and it decided to jump headfirst into the side light as soon I got parallel to it). Still 100% reliable for years, and it was a manual, so no one tried to steal it, even when I managed to leave the key in the door in a city for 2 hours.

Some cars aren't worth fixing. Dumpy was $1200 in 2010. Why would I spend $500 repairing the bumper, and $2-5k repainting it?

That equates to $36.7M/year. Last year, Meta had a revenue of $114B, so the fine is 0.03% of their total revenue. Definitely just getting written off

Over 2k in Rust and Mordhau, but probably Morrowind. I sank some serious time into that on Xbox as a kid.

Yeah, that was a huge disappointment. I'm just glad Robert Jordan was able to leave enough notes to complete the series at least. I remember when he made the announcement that he had a terminal illness, and was surprised at how much he focused on the readers in that announcement. Truly a loss for the whole fantasy community when he passed.

Mumford and Sons. Their first few albums were unique, and a nice change from everything else. Then they turned around and shit on everyone that liked their music before turning into Coldplay

Reintroducing removable cell phone batteries is a big start, and ending this shitty culture around buying a new phone every 2 years that is functionally identical to your existing phone.

Still my favorite series by a mile. I grew up with the series, and would reread the whole series before a new one was released. I was crushed when Robert Jordan died because I thought that meant the series would never be finished (and he seemed like a cool dude). I was ecstatic when they picked Brandon Sanderson to finish it, partly because he's also one of my favorite authors, but also because that dude is a machine that cranks out quality writing at an insane pace.

I just finished rereading the series for probably the 15th time a few months ago, it might be time to start again.

P.s. it's just getting started at book 3. Lord of Chaos (#6) is one of my favorites.
