  • The toys that either have balls that get launched into the air, or ones that are small balls trapped in a loop for them to bat back and forth may be the kind of thing you're looking for, especially if you can ones that allow for small treats or catnip to be placed inside the balls

  • Silly suggestion for testing how loud it is externally; put the headphones on your leg/thigh and test them, it should be a reasonable approximation of your head.

Also forgive my ignorance, but why are you printing this as straight pieces that require gluing as opposed to printing it as a solid circle?

  • Bonnie and Clyde, Killdozer man, Al Capone, Christopher Dorner, Billy the Kid to name a few.

There are a few different common themes amongst them, either functioning as part of a gang or as a lone wolf, Bonnie and Clyde captured attention for the romantic twist attached to it.

There are also greater numbers of outlaws during periods where laws are hard to enforce due to remoteness and isolation (old west) or due to the laws being flaunted by basically everyone due to the laws being considered ridiculous (prohibition).

The key common theme is that they are viewed as fighting against an (what the public view as) unjust system, though often it's more to do with their goals coincidentally aligning with the publics perception of an unjust system.

  • Was there any spyware/telemetry found in red star OS?

I remember a good few years back finding a leaked image for it and having some fun with it ended up throwing it on an open Gdrive link, then a few years later someone leaked a more up to date version that tried to look like macOS.

  • 30mg daily with an optional booster of 5mg instant release has been the sweet spot for me.

Over the span of like 6 years I started on 30mg, went down to 20mg for a while until a bit of a tolerance kicked in then back up to 30mg, eventually got the 5mg booster which I normally only take a 1/4 of a pill for the actual boost I need without effecting my sleep too much, but even then if I take the booster for a week I'll certainly start to feel drained, so it's an option not a requirement for me.

I imagine you're probably going to be better off feeling a little bit of the randomness associated with you being on the lower dose. The medicine is supposed to help you function a bit more like a regular person, not a robot. Humans have got randomness/noise in their thoughts, we aren't supposed to be robots.

I've had what you're experiencing but on methylphenidate; it doesn't really go away until you lower the dose or stop.

Other things that can impact the robot feeling is excessive caffeine before bed, and nicotine usage.

I think if you're asking this question; you already know that you want to go back down and just need some confirmation that it's a good idea 👍

  • Jesus H. Christ, I immediately thought oh it's not going to be as bad as it sounds, the. The video does genuinely show it being as bad and worse than it sounds.

I'm autistic, when I get particularly distressed, I'll end up impulsively hitting my head against walls or with my fist. Generally that behaviour is worse when left alone after getting into that state to begin with. By leaving these kids to actively self harm by isolating them, likely has worsened their situations, and probably has caused the epilepsy in the one child to become apparent.

My partner is a teaching assistant at a mainstream school which takes on a huge number of SEN children, mostly autistic, about 5 with down syndrome, and recently a lot who were fostered. They would never in a million years think that anything like what's shown in the video is acceptable, it's genuinely heartbreaking that this has occured, let alone that noone is being held accountable for this abuse.

There's got to be so many better ways of helping these kids when they're distressed instead of just throwing them into what is effectively a padded cell.

  • Tbh if they didn't learn from last time (vita) it deserves to fail if they're not including a usable microSD card slot. We're at a point where the cat is out of the bag even for the average consumer, when games can be 100GB+, noone will buy it if they screw about with being an overpriced console + overpriced games. The console needs to be affordable, with affordable memory and then they'll make their profit from the games.

  • I could be wrong, but I asked my chef friend why chicken would be stringy after I got a Chinese meal where it was like it, he suggested that it's overcooking them that can cause it.

With KFC I could fully believe that you've been being served chicken that was cooked that morning and had been left under the heat lamps for hours.

  • It's for the silliest reason as well, we stopped including psuedoephedrine in OTC cold meds because Theresa May government were concerned about people using it to make meth, with no evidence that people in the UK were using it to make meth...

You can still get pseudoephedrine but you have to request it at the pharmacy, as it's a pharmacy medication now.

So in reality no difference in terms of accessing it, if you really wanted to make meth, just means that most people can't get an effective decongestant when they're on their way to work...

  • Silly one, and but do tanks run on diesel?

Every other heavy machine I can think of typically uses diesel for their engines: tractors, lorries, boats.

Also diesel is less flammable then petrol or hydrogen in the event of a spill of leak...

  • Also the opposite side to it don't keep hammering into somebody once they've admitted fault and are trying to rectify their mistakes (within reason).

People will be a lot more likely to be confident in admitting a mistake and being honest about it if it isn't blown out of proportion.

  • I've tried watching it about 5 times and get to different points before I burn out.

It has sparked an interest in the works of R.D. Laing for who Lain is named in reference to.

A Psychologist who was active in the 60's and is famous for their work with schizophrenics; I've been curious if their work may give a bit more context to understand Serial Experiments Lain

  • My mum's a child psychotherapist, from her perspective medication aught not to be the first thing people jump at, but it very much has it's place; an example being children with ADHD who literally cannot sit down to the point of them getting distressed, actually being able to sit down and engage with therapy after starting medication. Similar things with anxiety and depression, if anxiety holds you back from opening up and personal thoughts and feelings then medication can enable that for therapeutic work to begin.

The bigger issue she has is when people (often parents) only want the medication but don't want to try and engage with the therapy.

    Just something to think about

  • Communism is from each according to their ability, to each according to their want.

I thought it was "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need"?

Wants and needs are often conflated but the outcomes of each phase would likely look incredibly different.

  • Yeah, you say twot to an English person and they'll look at you like you've sprouted a third head.

The correct way to pronounce it is twat:

The twat in a hat came at me with a bat.

    As opposed to:

The THOT whose a bot sent me her twot.

  • What type of tub is it? Free standing or one with a panel on the side?

If one with a panel on the side you can remove them by cutting the silicone, which will enable you to see the drain pipe and the trap, and you can then inspect it for leaks (use a dry piece of paper towel to test if a leak continues after drying it initially)

If it's due to a leak from the water supply pipes you could try turning off your water at the source/stop tap, open up your all the taps in the house and drain your system (I wouldn't suggest doing this if you have a water storage tank). If the dripping stops after doing this, it's likely to be your water supply pipes, as opposed to the drain.
