Recently it's been Obtanium, basically it allows you to add apps which are hosted on GitHub/other app sources which don't have auto updating, and have them automatically check and offer to update!
It's been really useful for Lemmy clients (liftoff/Jerboa)/any android apps from:
I can believe it; in the UK our fire regs have become rather stringent due to the Grenfell fire, though those changes are mostly on flats/buildings more then 3(?) storeis etc.
The PVC external cladding can melt from a mid to large sized bonfire 10-15 foot away. We can't use it to clad houses above the 2nd floor, though there are exceptions if your replacing existing cladding. So if you want to add a former to your loft you have to use tiles now.
Though there's this interesting product called magply which is roughly as strong as ply, but is made from magnesium oxide and silicate. It's considered incombustible so you can clad with it, then render it.
I wonder if we'll start seeing different materials used in areas prone to forest fires
It's a true favourite of mine as well, and has led me to want to read R.D. Laing's work with schizophrenia, as apparently it was highly influential in the creation of SE Lain.
I struggle to get through it on many watchings, but occasionally I make it to the end, it often feels like the ominous parts of an acid trip, haha
Out of curiosity, are you familiar with Lainchan? It's a rather slow Chan site, but very much captures the feel of Lain.
Quite literally self 'Annihilation', I think the shimmer itself is more analogous to cancer (continuously expanding, with random distorted outcomes, most of which are agressive towards anything untainted by the shimmer), but fundamentally each of the characters are there for their own different reasons for self-destruction with the hopes that it benefits others, as they effectively know it's a suicide mission).
The bit that I cannot recall if it was explained is why did the special ops guy go if he had a loving wife at home; what was his reason for self destruction?
Honestly even calling it CrackedPipe would be better than straight up crackpipe, lmao
I'm envisioning the possible reverse scenario where you get someone wanting some crack and won't take "Uhhh, I was just talking about a video game thing" as an answer
The only app I recommend was Obtanium, the rest of the listed things are app sources (places where open source apps are hosted, like GitHub)
Sorry if this wasn't clear!
