  • going easy on republicans is only going to make it worse. make an example of them by throwing the ones calling for a civil war or secession in jail and they'll stop, just ignore the whining they'll do because their hurt feelings aren't worth it

  • with any luck this will destroy them and funnel disgruntled users our way, where the servers are too numerous to ever fully take down and many aren't even US based anyways

  • we shouldn't allow the manufacturers to have nay control over how we use the things they sell us. it's a $3500 borked headset.

  • they're running their own business model into the ground

  • consumers have noticed, since sales of smartphones have plateaued

  • The majority of homeless people are homeless because housing is to expensive, and the majority of homeless drug users started after becoming homeless not before

  • Controlling masterbation with shame and guilt fucks you up, there.s a reason religions and authoritarian leaders love to do it (and this is literally an example of that happening)

  • They found cave paintings in Lescoux that show cavemen sex with animals and other humans, including kids.

Wait really? I can't find a source for that. This source says there's only one human drawing in there, with a bird's head. Are you thinking of another cave?

  • Federal CP law would still apply, and Christian morality and pratice is already sexually abusive to children even when they're not outright assaulting them (which also happens a lot)

  • Although personally I've gotten hate from other LGBT people about as often as straight people, it's definitally a problem

  • Housing is the #1 investment in China by a long shot, what are you talking about?

  • Homeownership is dead, it's time to build community land trusts instead

  • These people scare me. The national guardsmen I trust to not shoot unless ordered, but these crazies could be the ones to start a civil war

  • and if they're smart they'll build out bike lanes and rail transit instead of multi-lane freeways. it's not like even American can afford that shit

  • the birthrates are falling arguably too fast now, one estimate says we're no longer on track for 10 billion people by 2100, down to 9.1b now

  • people had larger families in the era where cars were smaller. no one needs an SUV in a city, they're meant for hauling firewood to the remote cabin where there's no paved roads

  • we need a distinction between streets in roads, culturally, legally and design-wise. a road is for cars to go fast, a street is for residential/business life. people should intuitively know which they're on by looking at it and act accordingly

https://www.strongtowns.org/journal/2017/10/30/the-stroad like this, but you can also get all old urbanist about it and make your streets all Really Narrow
